I just finished watching it. This was a truly great documentary. My heart goes out to the families.

I do wish they didn't show that twisted sob bruce spring-a-leak during the post interviews. Brokaw letting his liberal tilt unabashedly show through.

Chris, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us after seeing the Discovery program. God bless your father and I pray he is now watching over us. God bless you and your family and please know our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

It is very hard to watch the shows about 9-11 and the Memorials BUT I watch all of them and I still cry with the families for the victims of these senseless and cowardly attacks. I watched a show tonight about the former military man who was Security Chief at Morgan Stanley. He was a very special man. Because of his diligence and bravery, almost all of the Morgan Stanley employees got out of the WTC safely. I will never forget.

I am particularly concerned about the symbology of the Islamic / Muslim Crescent. Inclusion of that symbology makes this memorial a symbol of celebration for terrorists everywhere!

 

The Flight 93 Memorial is about to be approved and work will begin soon.

 

The design includes symbology that is wholly inappropriate. From above, the design is in the form of a Islamic / Muslim Crescent.

 

Does it really face Mecca?

 

Yes, it does - A Muslim just checked it out himself:

 

1) A Muslim went to the memorial website, and looked at the "winning" plan, which has a compass orientation on it. The crescent points just below North East.

 

2) A Muslim then went to a Mecca-Finding (qiblam) website. To pray to Mecca, aim just below North East.

 

The designers had to work the land plan to get that orientation.

 

THIS IS INSANE!

 

It is for all passengers and crew killed that day ...AND for OUR Country!
There should be NO recognition of any type, shape or form, for the terrorists.

 

Request you read the link above. There are many comments by Citizens concerning their concern about sullying The Heroes of Flight 93, September 11, 2001.

 

Please don't be party to building a memorial where terrorists can laugh at America. Don't let this memorial become a MEMORIAL TO TERRORISTS!

That was the first thing I thought of when they announced the "crescent." How could the designer who submitted this design be so stupid? How could the committee be so ignorant?

I have been days in trying to find the right words, there still not coming to me. Your father and fellow passengers on flight 93 showed the world what it is to be a true American Patriot.

Thank you for sharing your story, as emotional as it must have been for you, it gave us a deeper understanding. Thank you also for sharing your wonderful father with us.

I am so very sorry for your loss but so proud of their courage and the example that they set for us.

Seems it's OK for the press to show bodies coming back from Iraq and corpes in New Orleans - but Americans just are not strong enough to handle 911 at the WTC

God Bless you and your dad. I just finished watching the show and it was powerful. I am having a rough time dealing with the emotions that I am feeling right now, but I know that the feelings are good to have because the show reawakened the anger that I had on that fateful day.

I think about 9/11, our troops and our mission on a daily basis. We will win this war.
