Major Garrett is talking with Britt and reported that a Red Cross representative told him the LA state homeland security department refused them permission to take food and water to the Superdome because they did`nt want to encourage people to go there.
They wanted to get people out and were afraid that providing support would be a "magnet" atttracting more displaced persons.
To paraphrase, the state was looking to discourage people through hardship out of the Superdome. All the aid in the world wouldnt have gotten through.
Yep, they told them to bring their own food and water. How dare the FEDs try to get food and water to the Superdome. DUMOCRATS are the meanest, vicious, cold hearted people I have ever seen on earth. Well close second to the Islamofascist that is.
Yeah Libs always get upset when things like facts and logic get in the way of their argument. Boy that makes them mad...
Garrett was on either right before or right after the 1/2 break.
Welcome to the Superdome. Now go home.
It would not surprise me... They only believe in free speech as long as you say what they want to hear.
lol!
I'm shaking in my boots, I tell ya. : )
Apropos of Hitlery's asinine diatribe today about the incompetence of Brown, the head of FEMA, in 1998 after hurricane Floyd, it took FEMA far more time, more than a week, to get aid to the areas where people had lost homes and were without food and water. The head of FEMA then was the famous Witt, former Sergeant of Arms at Congress, the man that Hitlery now claims was much better than Brown. At the time, there were no outcries against Witt or Clinton. Go figure!
Okay, great! I'll try to catch it. thanks!
That's nothing, I just heard a lib say that they should be TREATING the water BEFORE they pump it back into Ponchatrain!
I kid you not.
Be forewarned, this is the next whine coming down the pike ... the environmental angle.
bump
is there even a public superdome death-toll?
I saw this report as well. WOW!
Somebody actually did an investigative report instead of the usual, emotional, TV ratings-driven schlok. Following it's natural, factual progression, Gov. Blanco should resign. Immediately.
Whose orders? The National Guard's or the "local authorities'?"
This is big, but needs some sort of official documentation for it to grow legs.
So well put, savedbygrace.
Well, this is the best news reporting I've seen in over a week. This was as enjoyable as watching a General Honore press conference, when he flat out tells a reporter "That's #$%&!"
Yep. It was early last week, and I heard it too. I think it got lost in the shuffle.
