Pat Robertson hurricane relief group basically evil to MSM reporter
CNN Transcripts, Michael Brown news conference ^ | 9/7/05 | MSM

Posted on 09/07/2005 3:27:35 PM PDT by Dane

QUESTION: The Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi has called for your resignation and I'm wondering if you have a response to that.

BROWN: The president is in charge of that, not me.

QUESTION: Have you offered your resignation?

BROWN: Pardon?

QUESTION: Did you offer your resignation...

(CROSSTALK)

BROWN: I serve totally at the will of the president of the United States.

QUESTION(MSM reporter): FEMA has three charities listed in a press release that they sent out. One of them is Operation Blessing. Can you tell me why that charity is on the list and who put it there?

BROWN: I'm sure the staff did and it's there because they've offered to help and are doing good work.

QUESTION: Operation Blessing is a Pat Robertson organization. Should that be on there?

BROWN: If they're willing to work, if they're willing to help -- we're not turning help away, we're not turning away help from anybody.

"Reverend jackson's and sharpton's relief operations?"

They take, not give.

On the one hand they're bitching about FEMA getting in the way of help, and on the other they're bitching because FEMA is facilitating what they consider to be the wrong kind of help. And the idiots probably don't even see the contradiction.

I'm sure they're sceaming up some plan to get they're greedy hands on some of that $2000 credit card handout. They will think of some way to shakdown someone on this.

Are there times when one wishes "One could be there?"

Pat says some goofy stuff sometimes but I believe his heart is good. And Operation Blessing is a very reputable group that helps people all around the world. Operation Blessing is no way related to his suggestion that we should OFF the President of Venezuela.

BTW, I'm not, like some on FR, out for Michael Brown's resignation or his head(per nancy pelosi).

That MSM jerk really teed me off with his criticizing a charitable organization trying to help, especially with the dearth of real help from jackson and sharpton.

Mary Landrieu advertises for shelters found by moveon.org...right there at step one. She has the Salvation Army and moveon.org as the only places for people to look for shelters...LANDRIEU- IN BED WITH MOVEON.ORG HURRICANE RELIEF-SCROLL DOWN TO "FIRST STEP"

Does the media have a problem with mary doing work with the radical George soros organization? The one that wants to overthrow the President.

Yep Pat can put his foot in his mouth, but like you said he does have a good heart, especially in times of suffering, but the MSM has to find a way to make sure that every good deed does not go unpunished.

I think they are raising money for the legal defense fund for the looters

Pat Robertson has opened and or operated, a drug rehab clinic, a home for unwed mothers, an adoption center, and a clinic to treat AIDS.

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have never done any of these things, nor will they.

The only good thing Sharpton has ever done in his life was adopting a child who had a single mother who died on 9/11.

Jackson, can't even claim as much.

Note that Pat Robertson is still happily married, while Jesse Jackson has had an affair producing an out of wedlock child and Al Sharpton is currently seperated from his wife and is in a relationship with another woman.

Operation Blessing does tremendous work, and has been around for years.

When they came to Freeport Long Island many years ago, giving out several trucks (18 wheelers) of food to the poor, Newsday had to cover it. So what they did was never mention who gave the food, or show the sides of the trucks with 'Operation Blessing" on the side.

It was hard to write the article giving no credit to Pat Robertson or OP, but they managed it.

It was an eye opener for me. I was involved with OP at the time, and Newsday gave me my first lesson in media bias. Thank you, Newsday, for the education.

I agree with Pat Robertson far more than I agree with the MSM. Therefore, my wife and I donated to hurricane relief through Operation Blessing!!!

From what I've seen, Operation Blessing is right in the midst of the relief effort, certainly in Mississippi. I guess the MSM wants to extend the silly separation of church/state BS to disaster relief.
