Wise up.
Floridians are having to pay back 30 year SBA loans at 3.125% interest. Let's see the Feds tell the people of New Orleans top take out a 30 year SBA loan.
Also, there was widespread fraud from FEMA after the 2004 hurricanes. Articles have apepared on FR here that detailed the outrageous and HUGE percentage of fraud over the Florida hurricanes as FEMA does not know their ass from Jesse Jackass.
We Floridians did not get a $2000 card, and considering I am spending over $100,000 to repair my home and I only received $13,000 in insurance, and ZERO from FEMA, your crying isn't making headway with me.
From earthquake victims to flood victims to ice storm victims to tornado victims, the Feds never gave any of us hardworking taxpayers $2000 debit cards. Now, the welfare groupies get $2000 debit cards because their crackhead mayor did not evacuate them and the government wants to quiet Oprah and pull some Marxist politically correct crap.
More wealth transfer from those who have to those who never have enough freebies.

So if you are self-relant, smart enough to get out of Dodge and stay with relatives, etc., or even pay for hotel space far away from the path, then you're SOL?Nope. FEMA has lots of goodies to hand out (grants, loans, living assistance, rent assistance, business assistance programs, food stamps, etc.) Worked well in Pensacola area after Ivan. Big boost to the economy. These people spend it all on local merchants at inflated prices. You know, the rich get richer. New Orleans will be booming in 6 months. Buy real estate there now, it will soon escalate like crazy.

Does it make me feel better to call something wrong when it is? You're damn right it does.
Someday, your way of thinking will be extinguished. How does that make YOU feel?

Frightened. I pray freedom of thought and speech is never "extinguished".

Insurance company = private enterprise. Red Cross = private enterprise.
Salvation Army = private enterprise.
Congress, FEMA, ... = buying votes...there...I said it.

I'd be willing to send them halfway. Then, they're on their own (for once).

Too little.......Too Late.......an obvious political move by the President who by the way, is the cause of all things evil as well as Katrina, 911, high gas prices, the Iraq quagmire and global warming.
