Everyone who goes cruising does exactly what you outlined. So you should also add a holding tank for your sewage to your list of necessities, if you're are planning to "ride it out" in a city.

I have 5 55 gallon plastic garbage cans I guess I could use them. Need to get lids though. Thanks I hadn't even thought of that. I guess in a pinch I could use plastic garbage bags and piled them up.
