ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. A well-known Florida newspaper says one of its reporters was shot and wounded while covering the hurricane aftermath in Baton Rouge.
The St. Petersburg Times says Marcus Franklin was shot Monday night while on his way back to a motel. The newspaper says the reporter was at a stop sign in a dimly-lit area when a man with a revolver walked up to the car and asked for his money. Franklin says he heard a pop but didn't realize he'd been shot in the stomach until he started driving off.
The 34-year-old journalist called 9-1-1 and was taken to the hospital. He was treated and released. Doctors decided not to remove the bullet, saying it was too risky. Officials say he was expected to fly back to St. Petersburg earlier today.
He musta been shot by a 'refugee'.
doesn't matter if he is a chocolate chip cookie, he needs to get some effective forces in these now even higher crime areas. can he tap off of the federal forces that are in nola?
Actually, .25 or .32 are more common as auto pistols.
The .22 short or LR round just doesn't have enough gas pressure to cycle the slide of an auto, unless it is extremely well engineered. A 22 Mag shell can cycle an auto pistol slide, but just barely.
I have a .22 LR Beretta auto pistol; cute little thing - looks like I got it out of a box of CrackerJack. Damn thing sounds like a howitzer, but a pea-shooter would be far more accurate. It jams every other shot, on average.
Exactly
North BR is a pit - every bit as bad as NOLA. Guess who populates the area?
"QUAGMIRE!!!!!!!! We're DOOMED!!!!"
LOL!!! Will Ted call for a pullout of NO?
Two of my cousins are Sheriff's deputies in EBR Parish (where BR is located). They report all City cops and Sheriff's Dept employees are on "extended-overtime" duty.
Mayor Holden is dead-serious about not tolerating refugee-related crime.
Good that Baton Rouge has sufficient chlorine for the new gene pool.
Don't ferget about the 32 S&W long. Or H&R's .32 magnum.
Have one of the Smith's-a model 31. A fine little pistole-a great starter gun for a female. And it's probably the most accurate pistol I own right now. Factory ammo is rather weak, but the hollowpoint loads I'm running are hovering right around 1000fps.
Small and fast...
What sort of ammo are you shooting in that Beretta?
Would it be legal to shoot these bastards, over a "baited field?
Place a 55 gallon drum of drugs in the center of a large intersection --- and waste every mother's son that reaches in to take something...
Semper Fi
Very little. ;)
I am putting standard .22 LR (remmington, I think) in it. That pistol is mostly a conversation piece - I carry a Bersa .380 with +P Glasers normally; with a 1911 .45 clone as backup in the truck.
I'm a smaller fella and have trouble concealing a full sized pistol.
Dunno... but that there is a right interesting idea!

Its a Target pistol very accurate and had no problem cycling the slide. I know because I own one
that looks just like this one. :D
Lots of old 'trappers specials' around these parts, yet.
Ppedophile creeps preying on children, raping and murdering them always seem to be white. Ever notice that?
I think there will be plenty of nabbing of perp in Baton Rouge, Houston, San Antonio and many other places refugee perp are. The public will demand it. I don't think a third of these places cops will go over the hill nor would I think the Govenor of Texas will just sit around if there is a problem.
Yup. After everything settles a bit, there will be serious perp-nabbing.
So this is a Target pistol... what is a K-mart or Wal-mart pistol like?
Damn! Must have been a Saturday Night Special or some such. Least he's okay.
