Four seconds apart.
mylife:Eaker? Mrs Eaker?
Yes.
L0L your a stinker
"Thanks...Im writing that down....I have a pea shooter a 22 automatic...not much for self defense.."
It may not be optimal, but no one will volunteer to be shot with one. It is not difficult to put 10 shots from a ruger 10/22 into the A zone of an IPSC target in 2.1 seconds at 7 yards. That's probably at least as good as a shot or 2 from a 357.
Ya'll networked quiet nicely !
I couldnt stir it up more than squantos did!
It was a pleasure to meet you Hon.
Im just now getting your sense of humor though
In the United States just after WWII, and before massive immigration by urban peoples, 90% of Americans had a gun of some kind in the house. This is because, no matter how well-meaning, no matter how dedicated, the police will not be able to protect you if you need them. A crime of violence takes only minutes to accomplish. The police will not be there in time. Even if you are able to call before the criminal gets to you, help will not arrive in time to do you any good. It will, however, arrive in time to write a very good report on what happened to you.
If your record is pretty clean it shouldn't matter, if permits are required you'll just need to apply. I encourage everyone to do it. If you aren't already a shooter, get some training. It's not rocket science.
Networked my butt . . . neither one of us knew the other was posting.
I think we have been married waaaaaaay to long.
Damn straight. Where I live, it can be upwards of an hour for state police to respond, and that's if they're not handling another situation. Best not wait.
Separate PC's keep TheMom happy.
If TheMom ain't happy even the rats ain't happy!
For pumps, Reminton, Winchester, and Mossberg (my favorite) are excellent choices.
However, you can get some fine single shots for about 100 bucks in anything from .410 to 12 guage.

Mostly, we ignore Squantos - he is like "that cousin" everyone has.
It was a pleasure to meet you also, I just wish it hadn't been so brief. I was to worked up to chatter with anyone. Another day.
Note the "once".
The 12 is just a wee bit too strong if you plan on shooting it a lot and you aren't very big, which I am not.
I shoot my dad's from time to time just to make sure I could still handle it if need be but I hurt like the blazes the next day.
One shot ok. Maybe two but much over that and I couldn't hit a thing
"I unloaded 2, 3 in Magnum 12 ga 00 buckshells from a pistol gripped Ithaca clone 3 weeks ago and I braced for it. "
3 inch mags in a pistol grip 12 ga? You must be a glutton for punishment. I suggest getting some 2 3/4 Federal Tactical 00 buck. It has lower recoil than the standard load and will be much easier to shoot than 3 inch mags.
*LOL*
You are a funny man.
The nice thing about a shotgun is the shot doesn't go through multiple walls. You don't kill the people sleeping in your home. Also, someone breaking in is going to take one look and decide you can't miss. Oh, and if it's a crook and you know it is, don't say something like "Don't move or I'll shoot - because crooks don't understand fair play. When he hears your voice, he'll shoot.
It is my opinion, if someone hears the racking of a shotgun shell, they are the next to die!
