I fully agree. On Saturday I stated on a Katrina thread Michael Brown was not doing his job but was quick to issue snooty comments to reporters saying 'everyone had plenty of time to get out' (90 year old ladies in wheelchairs & the poor without cars or $$ could not) I was attacked as being a 'liberal' for saying Brown should be replaced. Nice eh?
I am not faulting President Bush for bringing Brown on before, maybe he thought the schlub would work out, but he has not, and should be given a pink slip now.
Check this out: FEMA chief fired from previous job Michael Brown oversaw horse shows, had no significant disaster experience
Mr President I nominate Jabbar Gibson as the new head of FEMA!
If you would read this thread, you may comprehend why you were the recipient of snooty comments.
Next time FEMA should send their entire force in BEFORE the hurricane hits so we can have more dead bodies clogging up the pump drains.
Thank God you're not in charge! Were you calling for Mr. Brown's firing after four hurricanes hit Florida last year? Hmmmm?

Worth repeating
This is what John and Ken were yelling about today. Brown has no business heading FEMA. He was FIRED from his previous job of running horse shows. He got his job at FEMA due to cronyism.
Check Brown's Bio before you post drivel about the horse show. He was qualified.
As to if they had plenty of time, yes they did. The CITY didn't provide the means - even for 90 year old ladies in wheelchairs. They KNEW this was an issue. They did NOTHING to help people get the heck out of Dodge.
Joseph Farah can't stand Michael Brown, and he seems glad for anything that stains the President, who he is pi$$ed at too. What this article fails to mention is Michael Brown's other work experiences. No, he may not have been a 'Disaster Specialist', but he doesn't need to be. He is an administrator, and his job is to get resources in place so that they are AVAILABLE to the LOCAL authorities. FEMA does not move a thing into a disaster area without the permission and the direction of the local folks. FEMA doesn't know where the needs in an area are. They have to depend on the people on the ground to tell them where to take materials.
