Miss Marple has a list on another thread of all of the help that has been kept away...

Somehow, I've missed seeing MM's list, but here's what I have- and take some with a grain of salt, I have not confimed each story yet:

Homeland Security won't let Red Cross deliver food" Ann Rogers got it wrong!

Local Officials helped trap people in New Orleans - - old ladies dying and the brother officer go the extra mile to save a "brother". Now he can help disarm the rest of the law abiding citizens.

Here's another first hand report. Note that LNG (Lousiana National Guard) troops, on site, in front of the refugees, ate and drank while at least one trapped person (an elderly woman) died of thirst:

Louisiana authorities DELIBERATELY MADE THINGS WORSE

Just reported on Britt Hume's show
N.O. officials wanted to discourage people from going to the Superdome, and that is why they stopped FEMA, Red Cross, Salvation Army, etc., from going in with food.

  Sunday, Aug 28th:
Louisiana National Guard delivered three truckloads of water and seven truckloads of MREs, short for "meals ready to eat." That's enough to supply 15,000 people for three days

Good---terrific list...

Did you see the thread that said that the Sheriff of Gretna parish blocked a road going West out of NO...so that people evacuating were NOT allowed to leave that way...

There was even deputies standing on road, and when people would come close to them they shot up in the air...

hmmmmmmmm
