Because a commission would start with chain of command and responsibility... and by the time they got done digging to find out where all the disaster planning and levy dollars went the dems would be toast.

BTW, I heared a blurb today that I think a lot of us missed... FEMA dropped off water and MRE's at the Superdome on Sunday before the storm... so the people inside were not without supplies the entire time... I remembered it when I heard it.

POLL TAKEN TODAY ON 540 am RADIO IN ORLANDO, FLA.:

TALKING POINT: Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean has told one of the nation's largest black church groups that racism was a factor in the rising death toll from Hurricane Katrina.

Is Howard Dean Right?

Yes 1%

No 98%

Sunday, Aug 28th:
Louisiana National Guard delivered three truckloads of water and seven truckloads of MREs, short for "meals ready to eat." That's enough to supply 15,000 people for three days

Something that the MSM has conviently forgotten and is trying to hide after the fact.

Did you hear Dick Morris on Hannity -- on right now -- gives the real story Hillary is carping on Chertoff.

Some tidbits from NBC news about possible missteps in relief efforts:

Cynthia Swain (some LA official) told port patrol in LA to leave their posts and seek higher ground beforethe storm. They could have been deployed for rescue if they had stayed in port.

Georgia medical disater team, which came to help hurricane victims, is being sent by FEMA on a wild goose chase around the states surrounding LA, but not to LA. All they've been able to do so far is treat a minor cut.

German satellite services team that came to help out has been trying to contact FEMA, but their phone calls have gotten no response from FEMA.

Hundreds of trailers that could be used for temporary housing for hurricane victims are still sitting in Georgia.

Interesting.

The newsflash that came out of Morris is there is a Whitewater history between Hillary and Chertoff so Hillarys carping yesterday was personal, not hurricane.

Amazing! I was shocked to hear Bill O'Reilly say on his radio station that he is becoming a very big supporter of the second ammendment and is buying a gun for the first time in his life. I know he reads the NYSlime; will be interesting to hear what he says about this turn of events.

I just saw the most despicable interview between Chrissy on Hairball with Joe Scarborough...

Scarborough was saying that Haley Barbour and the Gov. of Ala, "saw this hurricane coming, and the WOKE UP A FEW DAYS LATER, and didn't know how to run a hurricane"...

I think the Dems are going to live to regret their poor judgement this week. Did you just listen to Jamal on O'Reilly? He wants to impeach the President over this.

I almost forgot. Last night, NewsMax regurgitated a 1999 article on the big hurricane that hit Florida that summer and it took FEMA a MONTH to get in because everything was so wet and mucky. James Witt (the great Hillary guy) was the FEMA director at the time.
