"That's B.S. It's B.S.," Honore raged.

Calm down Georgie. We know they're ivory. Now curb your dog.< g >
Jindal has joined the whiners who are blaming the feds for their own failures. He's part of the problem down there, not part of the solution.
That's not my opinion, that's the opinion of the guys on ESPN gameday. You had better hope the Trojans don't have your complacent attitude, or they won't make it through the season unscathed.
Well, then you should be about my age, course I heard my Dad talk like one so expected it from my husband, so quit playing, shocked and appalled.
At the suggestion of writer Michelle Malkin last Friday, I have cobbled together a blogsite called Texas Clearinghouse for Katrina Aid to serve as a clearinghouse for refugee efforts in Texas.
Texas is getting more refugees than any other state -- that's fine, we'll take them all -- but we need help providing them with food, clothing, and shelter.
If you are a refugee, you can information that will help you find relief. If you want to donate or volunteer, you can find someone who needs you.
Right now the site mostly covers Houston and Dallas but I will add various churches, schools, and other charities in San Antonio and Ft. Worth tonight. My wife is down at Reunion Arena in Dallas as we speak handing out care packages and otherwise ministering to the refugees as a representative of her employer.
There are a lot of churches and other organizations in Texas that need help in dealing with the problem and I would be most appreciative if you would get the word out.
Many thanks,
Michael McCullough
Stingray blogsite
While I like to know what's going on, I'd have to agree.
Rush mentioned 400 buses were left in the parking lot, according to numbers given to him.
We need more like him.
Joe McCarthy, George C. Patton, and Douglas MacArthur were
right after all.
Honore was my brigade commander when I was in 3rd Infantry Division, when we was Colonel Honore. LTG Honore is a lot like Patton, only not as nice. lol
POSSE COMITATUS.
This whole event has underlined just how poorly the average citizen is educated on how local, state, and federal government is designed to function.
You can't use federal troops in a local/state law enforcement capacity unless:
1. The governor of the state authorizes it.
2. The state is in violation of a federal order or law.
That's why he wasn't down there before. Elections have consequences. The people of Louisiana and the citizens of the city of New Orleans chose unwisely.
actually he did't 'rage'
he spoke clearly
bump
cussing ? if saying the letters b and s in combination is cussing...
his tone and demeanor were the right response for such an idiotic group of people (with even more idiotic questions)
Don't be surprised. Senior officers and we NCO's "sometimes" used those colorful 4-letter french words to get people's attention. Sometimes that is all that works. Shock treatment.
I remember when I was a 24 year old 1LT, and whenever I had to go to Brigade Headquarters and got near his office, the sound of his voice alone scared the crap out of me.
Here's an interesting story of Honore back when we went to the National Training Center when he was the Brigade Commander:
I heard that his driver (or some other soldier) had to go into Colonel Honore's tent one night to tell him something. COL Honore was lying down in his Army sleeping bag, zipped all the way up. The way Army sleeping bags are designed, when they are zipped all the way up, the only opening is a little cirle to allow you to put your nose or mouth there to breath.
Anyway, COL Honore had only his mouth sticking out, holding a cigar in his lips, puffing away. There were ashes all over the sleeping bag. lol.
Another mannerism of his back then: he used to call everybody and even groups of people a dick. It was hilarious. Pretty soon, every officer in 1st Brigade was calling everybody a dick!!
I was wondering if Honore is part black or just has a really nice tan. Anybody know?
I really don't know. He looks a lot like he used to back then, except for his moustache is gray now. He had a dark complexion back then and had a Louisiana drawl in his voice. He a really big and tall guy, too.
here's another bumper sticker idea ...CONCERVATIVES ; WE'RE NOT STUCK IN STUPID .
