Today I heard a Corps of Engineers guy say that some of the breaches are actually helping in the drainage of the city right now. If they had not opened, some openings would have had to be made.

They have to fix the 17th Street canal to get the pumping station back online - and so that they don't pump the water into the canal only to have it pour back in.

That pile of crap in the 17th St. Canal breach won't hold baby spit when they start trying to pump NO dry. You heard it here first.
