U.S. commercial air carriers continue transporting tens of thousands of evacuees from the New Orleans airport to destinations throughout the nation.

Rooftop air rescue efforts continue. One rescue chopper crashed late today. Crew members are reported safe. Gunmen who fired upon bridge repair contractors were killed by law enforcement.

To date, an estimated 70 countries and U.S. businesses have pledged hundreds of millions of dollars, supplies, food and equipment to assist the United States' efforts in Katrina's aftermath. Lt. General Honore described the damage to Mississippi today, "all infrastructure south of Jackson, MS is either damaged or destroyed." Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice visited the devastated areas, and attended Sunday church services in Mobile, Alabama.

Elsewhere, Sean Penn's rescue boat, sans plug and full of his personal entourage, reportedly sank during launch in New Orleans. Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) threatened to punch President Bush, and Jefferson Parish President Broussard decried that the bureaucracy of FEMA has committed murder.

Streaming Video:

All information is subject to change. Many stations are relying on their corporate parents to configure and maintain Internet streaming. Because of the intense interest in the feeds, they may be unavailable at times because of network congestion or a problem feeding the video to the streaming servers.

WWL-TV New Orleans - WWL-TV is operating from studios at Louisiana Public Broadcasting. CBS has a relay during the morning and afternoon. When available, use the CBS relay first as they have greater streaming capacity. They have a secondary stream from Yahoo. WWL-TV is also offering a special low-bandwidth audio-only stream for dial-up users.

WDSU-TV New Orleans - The news staff has started to return to temporary news studios near New Orleans. However, expect evening coverage from Hearst-Argyle sister stations WAPT Jackson and WESH Orlando when the New Orleans staff needs to take a break.

WGNO-TV New Orleans - New Orleans' ABC affiliate has returned to the air with WBRZ-TV and launched video streaming with continuous Katrina coverage.

WPMI-TV Mobile, AL - WPMI is webcasting from 5:30am - 10:30pm CDT. When off air, you can view pre-recorded reports on demand. This feed is often unreliable.

WKRG-TV Mobile, AL - This station is providing good coverage of the situation to the east in Mississippi and Alabama. However, the station is now signing off at around 10:30pm CDT like WWL and WPMI.

WJTV-TV Jackson, MS - The CBS affiliate in Jackson is providing live coverage for both the Jackson area and south Mississippi (knowing a lot of media in that area is off the air).

WFAA-TV Dallas, TX - WFAA-TV is here because Dallas is one of the evacuation cities.

United Radio From New Orleans: WWL-AM, WNOE-FM, "KISS-FM," WRNO-FM, WYLD-FM, and WJBO-AM (Clear Channel & Entercom) who have joined forces as United Radio From New Orleans, and they are streaming.

Gulf Coast Storm Network (Clear Channel Radio) - Clear Channel offers radio listeners across the gulf coast access to a simulcast emergency radio service. This service seems primarily focused on Alabama and Mississippi, but does cover Louisiana to some degree.

I have no idea why "refugee" is considered inappropriate.

I think that some Americans associate it to third world countries only, definitely not when referring to Americans. They think who would have thought something like this would happen in America. Some but not the majority of Americans.

They think who would have thought that Americans would be refugees on their own soil in America. Some but not the majority of American.

We think who would have thought that terrorist would fly our own planes into buildings in America. Some but not the majority of Americans.

Hey its a new day in America. And Americans are spending time squabbling over words.

Whoda thunk it!!

I think in light of new information, Knapp will be singing a different tune, even I in the beginning thought President Bush messed up, but as we are learning, he is doing the best he can, and he had to fight not only Katrina, but the corrupt Louisiana government.

This all feels good for a lot of people.

Just like a nice pleasant Hollywood marriage between Sean Penn and Madona.

What happens when taking care of the poor and indigent are no longer a Cause Celeb.

You know the race baiter's don't want to take care of these people.

Racists Action Jackson wouldn't even share his water with those poor thirsty refugees during his frequent photo opps

All race baiter's want to do is incite them to the point where they can use them to black mail more money from companies and the government.

You'll love to hear this, Pirro just proposed the suspension of the federal gas tax as part of her platform. She beat Hillary to the punch! LOL, out-hillary hillary indeed.

I wish I knew how to post pictures, but, at the end of this article is a real close picture of Travolta's home and it's awesome.

we have elected officials down, the elites, there talking seccession, threating to punch to President, inciting race riots, cops abandoning their comrades, police looting, etc...

and we wonder why the common folk there have so little regard for authority.

I'm coming to the opinion after a week of this nonsense that any money spent on rebuilding New Orleans is wasted, we should make it a big naval base, national dump or wetland refuge....flame on!

"
They did it in less than a week! And let's not forget that all land operations moved over hurricane ravaged terrain equal in size to the entire country of Great Britain.

This has been one of the most impressive operations in history"

Way to put it! You sparked my memory of the success of the War in Iraq. We kicked their keesters up the Tigris and Euphrates so quick their heads were spinning. It was a totally impressive and successful military operation. The MSM is on the dark side spinning and spinning. Thanks for giving perspective to all.

I went to my sister's house to get away from the coverage for a while.

But we watched for a little bit around 5:00. I looked at Fox and the bottom line read: "Geraldo rescues woman".....

You can imagine my reaction. Geraldo reports not only injects himself into the story. He makes himself the ENTIRE STORY. He can only report the story, as everything has happenned since he flew in 48 hours ago.

***Los Angeles County is refusing to take evacuees.

If so, I imagine that they figure that they have enough of their own home grown problematics.***

Exactly. We here in calfiornia are up to HERE in taking in "refugees", thank you very much. And when I just heard Geraldo chiding Governor Schwarzenegger, saying he hadn't "done his part, that Texas was overshadowing him", I just about lost it.

The Communists in Russia promised "Peace, Land, and Bread" to the poor, and exploited the poor to gain power. Once they had served their purpose, they were tossed into collective farms, and many ultimately starved.

That means something "worse" hasn't happened to take this off the front pages...if you know what I mean.

Thousands will soon be living large on three Carnival cruise ships. In complete luxury, with meals and spa. We'll see if the rapes and murders continue, and if the MSM will report them.
