He keeps making me think of the ATC on Airplane who was screaming "Auntie Em, Auntie Em!" for some reason....
susie
Where was the president when this happened? Why didn't he prevent it?
News is : Not a Coast Guard helicopter. Not known yet what agency helicopter.
I really don't think the Coast Guard spokesman (on Fox right now) should be specifying specifically, the numbers (percentages) of entire Coast Guard helicopters are now in action in the Gulf Coast area. The percentage was shocking. The terrorists watch TV too. I hope our harbors and ports are not vulnerable.
Looks like a plain old badly executed auto-rotation.
Karl - are you coming to the Drudge thread tonight?
The red words right below where I am typing this post are most apropos in our lives right now....and the media just doesn't get it!!!
Loose lips, sink ships.
That's it.... that is absolutely it...!!

you owe me a monitor...OMG!! Gawd I love FR... Gum Shoe... I'm a pinging that one for a bumper sticker.
LoL. I've never experienced anything quite that exciting. The closest I've come to living dangerously is jumping on elevators. (shaking head)
Apology to the spelling police...but worked better with "ain't."
That....or a Hollywood movie. The world is saved and the bad guys caught within 2 hours.
you are welcome. Us fellas got to be reminded sometimes.
TK is one of the good-guys. He took his lumps like a man.. gotta respect that.
I saw that even if a helicopter loses all power, several hundred feet in the air, it can land somewhat safely. The rotor acts to slow the descent.
"NO BLOOD FOR JAMBALAYA!

Well, Dick, I guess your easily pleased by an obvious knock off of a tired old joke submitted for that very reason. BTW, are you a Troll?
Good evening.
There are few things as much fun as going 90 mph at treetop level with your feet hanging out. When the bird goes into short final you get out on the skid and jump at about 10 feet off the ground as the bird drops it's nose and scoots away while you run for the treeline.
As you say, tet68, quite exciting.
I saw film of one young lady who was plucked off of a roof look around the chopper with a big grin on her face. She looked like she was loving the experience. Of course that might have been because she knew she was going to survive
Michael Frazier
Sarcastic but disturbingly pointed. :)
Awe, it's just Geraldo. It's what he does.
