I wouldn't doubt it. Sounds about par for the course.
If you see one, ping me and I'll do the same for you. It'll eventually "leak out" somehow.
Yes, Brousard, the president of Jefferson Parish, can blubber on CNN that people died because the federal government didn't do enough. Yet, as an official who signed off on the Emergency Plan, HE was responsible for the safety of those nursing home residents, along with many others who died. Now all these failures are trying to shift the blame. Where were all the supplies that were supposedly in place funded by FEMA and the Dept. of Homeland Security? I think there should be a thorough investigation of what happened to this money, and the thieves ought to get long prison sentences for in effect, killing defenseless people.
Huh? Make some sense, please.
Another example that proves the MSM media is;
*Arrogant
*Incompetent
*Lazy and emotional
*Predisposed and biased
Now...CALLING ALL FREEPERS!
I'm starting a new PING list... A CALL TO ACTION

Eagles up!
amazing work on your part -- a must keep so that when the liberals around me spew their lies, i can hit them with this. THANK YOU!!!
Yeah, I saw that. And I'm still looking for a newer version with his name on it. Please ping me if one shows up.
Good thread. We need to shine the truth on this as much as possible. I can tell you one thing for sure, the disaster planning community in my part of Texas knows exactly who is responsible for New Orleans' "non-response" to the hurricane.
Because it it more important to sit and talk with lawyers to try and cover their butts.
Why, so we can spend hundreds of billions "recovering" New Orleans and next Hurricane season this can happen all over again? These facts must be made public. This is the function of a free press, of which we are an integral part. The truth shall set you free. Its not to asses blame but to look accurately at what occurred and deal with it constructively for the future. Its important this doesn't get swept under the rug of false racism charges and anti-Bush media bias.
I'd have no problem with that statement with a little rephrasing:
Assigning blame publicly right now is counterproductive to the recovery of the area.
Blame can, and should, be determined later so that the failures that did occur can be avoided in the future.
Well they're living without bathrooms right now aren't they? Men can pee in bottle and they could have pulled over every few hours to hit the bushes if they had to. This is a hurricane evacuation not a field trip for God's sake.

President Bush's track record says to me that he operates on the principle of letting love cover a multitude of sins as long as that is possible.
Public inquiry will probably lay the matter bare to the world, but he won't have had a hand in the name calling.
I loved reading the account of NO's mayor aboard AF1 the day after Nagin upbraided the president. Nagin said Bush didn't discuss it till the mayor brought it up -- after they'd been airborne for quite a while. Nagin said he apologized if he'd said anything that ... yada yada ... and W said that yes, he had heard about it but didn't quite understand all of it (LOL). Then Bush told him, "We're okay."
That is remarkable. This same approach to hostility and (possible) derangement has disarmed many sabre rattlers and outright enemies.
From the DHS website: "In the event of a terrorist attack, natural disaster or other large-scale emergency, the Department of Homeland Security will assume primary responsibility on March 1st for ensuring that emergency response professionals are prepared for any situation. This will entail providing a coordinated, comprehensive federal response to any large-scale crisis and mounting a swift and effective recovery effort. The new Department will also prioritize the important issue of citizen preparedness. Educating America's families on how best to prepare their homes for a disaster and tips for citizens on how to respond in a crisis will be given special attention at DHS." http://www.dhs.gov/dhspublic/theme_home2.jsp
metulj, is that you again?
You trolls are so transparent, I restored your comment for prosperity.
Another cut and paste post.
I agree that this is an excellent report of the truth BUT when Katie says that Bush was asleep at the wheel and is a racist all of these words will be negated in the American mind....... Same as TASS did in the USSR.......
