Good job! I didn't watch any news shows today and all of a sudden some of my compassion for those who suffered came back. I missed it. Is this the same woman who said she was gonna punch the prez?

Let's see. Landrieu is a Senator because Bill Clinton ordered the NO democratic machine to get off it's ass and manufacture votes at the last minute.
Oops. Just another corrupt bought and payed for Louisiana politician backscratching her likewise corrupt incometent mates in state govt.

"...the federal government must join with the people of Louisiana to preserve America's wetlands."
I don't suppose there's a single brainy liberal anywhere who can appreciate the irony of that statement.
But I certainly do...

She's in denial. That is the worst place to be if you're a politician.

As I have said before, in order for us to protect America's energy supply and transportation needs, the federal government must join with the people of Louisiana to preserve America's wetlands.LMAO!!! This incompetent scumbag Landrieu was more concerned about her allies in the enviro-whacko lobby than she was about the impending hurricane! In any event, her wetlands were preserved, that's for sure.

This is an attempt to prop up the corrupt democratic machine politics of Lousiana of which Landrieu is a part. Keep those people voting democrat is the only important thing.

The Senator, the Governor and the Mayor...didn't someone from that part of the country once say 'stupid is as stupid does'...
To: joinedafterattack
They were all a bunch of inept, irresponsible jackasses, Landrieu-they were the problem. Go right ahead and punch me for telling the truth, Senator.

Which, of course, begs the question as to whether or not New Orleans, in its current soggy condition, now qualifies as a "wetland."
Given the state of current enviro-nazi law, my bet is that it does.

The following excerpt from August 29 NPR radio on how her (Gov. Blanco) administration reacted to Hurricane Katrina.
NPR: Does this mean the emergency plans are working? Maybe we should go over what the plans were?
Blanco: We have to hold tight, let it happen then pick up the pieces after it's all over.

Jindal is covering his own hide, he thinks, by blaming everyone except himself for this disaster. My estimation of him toppled as a result. Though he would have been more competant than Blanco by a long shot, he's clearly just another politician.
Someone needs to take to the Senate Floor and wave this in mary's face.
