Iran will help US victims of Hurricane Katrina if there is a need to do so and regards such help as a humanitarian measure, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi said here Sunday.

Asefi made the remark as he was talking to domestic and foreign reporters at his weekly press briefing.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran will dispatch relief aid to the United States through Red Crescent if there is a need for such relief assistance.

"Apparently, relief aid has not been provided to the victims properly. The victims complained about the way relief aid is provided to them.

"We will help if we are confident there is a need for our assistance," he said.

Yet another sterling member of the religion of pieces.

Perhaps we send the Governor and Mayor. They were pretty shaken up by the storm.

The last thing New Orleans needs is an Iranian with a bomb strapped around his waste. No thanks we will do without your kind of "help".

Well, thank God that someone is finally willing to give the people of N.O. a nuclear weapon. Should dry things up in an instant...

Rudy G might come in handy here. After all, he told the Arabs they could take their $15 mil check for 9-11 and shove it.

Well, let's not forget that Saddam offered to send help to New York after 9-11.

He said that his people had a lot of experience recovering bodies from collapsed buildings because of the American bombs in the Gulf War and since, and he was willing to share the benefit of their expertise with us.

Actually, from the sounds of how bad NO is, it might be more cost effective to nuke the place, then clean it up....

And this was meant in a semi-sarcastic tone.

Well, given how these weenies supported the folks in Hit, inside thier own borders, I think taking a pass is a good idea. Thanks for the offer tho - I 'm sure we will be back over to help you in your next earthquake disaster.

One wonders how experts in mud brick building could help a city under water?
