Totally agree. I believe we are now paying the price for LBJ's "Great Society," in which it became fashionable to sit back and let government do everything for you. An entire generation of Americans, not just African-Americans, had the drive and initiative sucked out of them. More than one generation will be required to reinstall the drive and initiative.
