Yes I agree, but compare them to the ones that have stayed. There are some good men still there. What I don't understand is why they didn't deputize civilians. Give someone responsibility and a cause and they most often step up to the plate.
I don't understand why they are sending so many able bodied men and women out of the state, when there is so much work to be done. Put those who can to work to start cleaning up the mess created, not only in the street but at the refuge centers that were so overburdened. If there is food and water available to nourish them, there is absolutely no reason for them to be lounging away in Houston or any other city, while they complain about the lack of aid they received.
There is absolutly no reason for any of them to be not working. If they can't be clearing debris, then they can be working to serve those that are..
Because those in a position of authority to do that ran with their tails between their legs or were rolled up in the fetal position unable to make any decisions.
