How could they charge him when he was told by an officer it would be a "good" idea to figure out how to start it and leave? I don't know--it might not be true. But I wouldn't put it them.

an MRE she spit it out
I saw that also posted on FR.
I think we are going to hear a lot more before it is
overwith to fill several books.

I agree but I think she looked so drained and tired probably had been up half the night discussing the various offers of help from around the world that had come into the State Department. She probably could not be bothered too much about her hair one would presume someone normally sorts it out before photos but she probably could not face being pulled about for the sake of a photo.

Again, I might be reading too much into all this. But I couldn't help but notice.........
Nope, that's pretty much the way he is. To me he always seems to be the geeky kid who wants people to believe he is cool. But I will add he has been proactive in any disaster we have had in this state. And he has cut spending by the gov't. So I can't give him an A but I will give him a B. :)

...stay away from threads that ..bash the President..can't take it....
I've been feeling the same way. Lately, too much Cindy, not enough pro-troops, pro-Bush and then the hurricane disaster...it's just too much. I've become soooo sensitive about any criticism of the President. That's why I shot off an email to fox & friends even before I had breakfast. Feel we have to defend W; he can't respond to the media's sly innuendos. God bless this man.

I noticed that today with Trent Lott he kept speaking to him and even mentioning that Trent Lott had emphasized how important it was to get the Port up and running again. Plus he was sympathetic that Trent Lott had lost a property in this hurricane and said that he was sure that Trent would rebuild it and he looked forward to sitting on the porch with him.
He is a remarkable man and seems to hold no grudges maybe he vents his anger at the time and then it is forgiven and forgotten.

He was ranting earlier today that he didn't want no school buses. They needed to send in the greyhounds. Couldn't evacuate people on buses with no bathrooms. Isn't just like a liberal? A coservative would say, "Grab a bucket and get on the bus!" :)

Greta had on a kid who commandeered a school bus in New Orleans, picked up people along the road and drove them all to Houston shelter.

I really think this would have been very different if Rudy Giuliani had been NO Mayor. Or if either of the Brothers Bush were the Governor of LA.

It did come over that way especially the photos of the President comforting her. Yes show emotion for the situation and for the people that is understandable but it came over as woe is me what can I do rather than I have done this, this and this but unfortunately due to the immense problem it still is not enough.
It was as if she knew she had failed and was guilty and frightened almost as to what would happen next.

LOL! Do you remember when Rush talked about truckers leaving surprises along the roadways for highway dept. workers to clean up? They were milk jugs with warm yellow liquid in them because they wouldn't take time to stop. :) Don't know why but this visual popped in my head. I can be a sick puppy at times.
