The Mayor of Jackson is actually a pretty good guy, for a Democrat. He's trying very hard to get control of a city that has been ineptly managed for a long time. I saw on Fox News this morning that our gasoline crisis in the Jackson area is now national news.

What is the prevailing wisdom of the Washington Post article when it references Friday; is it referring to Friday September 26th or Friday, September 2?

From what I hear, your Dem mayor is doing a pretty good job.

He's probably in the same class as Zell Miller - the truly loyal opposition. I doubt many of us have a problem with that idea.

You should be getting gas soon - just hang on.

Was it in 1978 or 79 that Jackson had all those floods.

i remember driving down to Bay Saint Louis and having to cross the river.

Just as we crossed the bridge and expansion joint moved and the bridge was closed.

Still remember the policeman yelling to get the hell off the bridge.

As I exited the bridge looked downtown and hundreds of building were under water.

Were you there then?
