Finally! Someone else noticed Shep does not have a beard and his face is clean shaven!
I believe Shep and the other reporter at that location are platooning back and forth to Baton Rouge each shift, if I'm not mistaken. That's been one of his complaints, actually... that other officials' cars are passing by without helping these stranded people in both directions.

Ive been noticing, and the clean change of clothes too.
Im sure FNC is airdropping the razors and clothes.
Shep never said *he* was abandoned...he was trying to get help for the people on the overpass (before it arrived). I don't get the problem there?
Confused in California (grin).
Battery powered electric razor. I keep one in my truck - can be used for a solid week before I have to change the AA batts out or recharge them.
I think all the media's have choppers down there, to film & also transport their employees around.
During some of the Coast Guard rescues were taking place I remember a reporter telling the cameraman "zoom in" & then explained air space was restricted during the rescues.
Also this I 10 overpass connects to 90 west to Houma (40 miles).
