I'm beginning to think this was done intentionally to hurt our President!

That occured to me as well. I checked my head and the tinfoil hat wasn't there tho.

Some people are smart enough to LEAVE when told to do so. Some are not.

Cuts right to the truth. NO embellishment, feel good bs, just the truth. Thanks for posting.

Don't take it personal, i'm spun up today.

Me too.

I seldom if ever take any of these online differences personal.

At odds in one thread.  Compadres in the next.

Usually learn a lot, even when it doesn't look like it.  :-)

Sporting goods, equipment, clothing.

Same rumor says they will not reopen the NO stores. Can't vouch for the truth of it.

"And once again we see the difference between handwringing careerist politicians and executives who get things DONE"

In this case the executives only had to move at most a few hundred people, hotel guests and employees, while the politicians were faced with the mind boggling task of moving tens of thousands. Quite a difference in scale.

When this immediate crisis is over, the good people of Louisiana have one more job: to impeach that useless and criminally negligent governor.

"Quite a difference in scale."

Agreed, orders of magnitude. But there are many gladhanding politicians, too few executive/leader/statesmen/women in politics.

No apologies necessary - I didn't read close enough - thanks for sharing their story - it's one of those we don't hear in the MSM - and one of the reasons I love The Free Republic.

I'm making your post my new tagline!

I'm honored!

But this is why the Democrats are doomed.

We cannot tax our way to prosperity.

That's Tony Snow who had surgery for cancer.

Thanks. I unpluged the cable a couple years ago. I miss fox and ESPN and a few others. But the kids are better without TV.

On Larry King live tonight, Jesse Jackson went after the Red Cross for not going in there to supply people.
She snapped back that they were not rescue and recovery, and the Governor forbid them from going in as it was to dangerous.
This was on tonight.
Mayor Nagin stated Governor told him reinforcements of 40,000 were coming. She lied to him. Tape was on BOR.
Guess what is hitting the fan.

For openers, what were you doing staying in New Orleans until after the airlines has suspended flights?

Exactly. If I had a Sunday morning flight, and a Cat 5 hurricane was due to hit within twenty-four hours, I'd be tearing my ticket in half and hiring a taxi cab!

Amazing to see Freepers supporting the "wandering around and asking officials when they are going to be rescued" school of disaster survival.

Do you know these people personally?.....

It seems strange to me that someone from FL would chance a flight out of the path of a Cat 5 hurricane within some 24 hours of landfall. Didn't they learn or hear a thing about Homestead FL and it's experience with Andrew? I would have thought they would have been gone much earlier, but then I wasn't in their shoes and making the decision.

Wow, this is just incredible. I have family in LA and I have heard for years how corrupt the state government is, and now I guess I can see they are right. Sadly, thanks to those who want to destroy the President, these people left there are suffering so terribly. I don't want to believe this is by design, and I don't mean by President Bush.
