I don't know about you (I have an idea) but I'm sick and tired of the MSM burying good news!

I see Americans helping Americans. I hear stories and see photos that inspire me! I thank God I live in America.
Brett Coomer / Chronicle A paramedic carries a pair of girls away from an Army helicopter after they were airlifted from their flooded home in New Orleans on Tuesday.
More Chronicle PHOTOS
I just listened to the local D.C. radio news and they played a woman screaming about no showers in the Astrodome. No this, no that, no nothing (I hear different). Then they quoted Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich making snide remarks about the progress of relief efforts.
Melissa Phillip / Chronicle Volunteer Heather Carson holds her son Joel Carson, 10 months, while she sorts through donated items. She and other volunteers at the Westlake Fire Department organized donated items for refugees from Hurricane Katrina. Three families of around 70 people stayed at the Westlake Volunteer Fire Department on Saums Road near Katy. Residents of the community converged on the fire station to bring supplies and offer support.
Americans are doing for each other but what is reported?
Negative, negative, negative.
Depress. Depress. Depress.
Bash Bush. Bash Bush. Bash Bush! Bash America.
Never, ever uplift and encourage or praise! That's the MSM I know and despise!
There are so many GOOD things going on by agencies and citizens. But NO, they won't report those things.
Keep up the good work FReepers. Report what Americans have been doing and will continue to do to help the survivors of Katrina.

I also like the passionate on-site reporting by Mississippi native Shep Smith, the cute human-interest stories my Molly Henneberg, etc.I've been mad at Shep Smith for five years. Ever since his reporting on Elian. I told him he needed training wheels and didn't understand communism. It got his goat and he wrote back defending himself.
Last night I wrote to tell him he can take the training wheels off.
He's doing great work.

A lot of reporters have been going w/o sleep and food. They've seen a lot and it understandably gets to them.
I don't mind their emotion. It's normal and true.
It's the canned Bush/America bashing that the Left so ham-handedly dishes out that I hate.

Yes. It is America now. They want the FAST FOOD RESPONSE to everything. We want it NOW, NOW, NOW. Not tomorrow, but NOW. Everything is geared on quick, easy, fast, now, no waiting, go, go, go. Nothing slow and enjoying. I watched a guy eat an entire whopper and large frys on the ferry last night in under four minutes. Gulp, gulp, gulp, gone. Slam bam thank you mam, it was gone. They he sat back and quietly enjoyed the supersized DIET coke!!! Ho, ho, ho, that was sickening.

Let me modify that headline "I'm sick and tired of the MSM." There much better.
