Hillary looks great! She sounds great! She gets great press! She has great handlers!

As a matter of fact, I think Oprah is her handler, so you should be all comfy, happy, satisfied, and cozy.

I believe what we have is an influx of DU trolls here. They already have a thread posted over there quoting people from this thread, as evidence we are "finally" seeing what an incompetent boob the President is. That is their main objective. Not actually helping the people who need help, but bashing the President

Word to DU: the trolls are still a tiny minority over here.

Well, let me see if I can come up with a quote for them.

This is a disaster of Biblical proportions; in comparing this to ALL of the other hurricanes this country has ever know TOGETHER,we have NEVER seen a situation where those victims left behind have destroyed what was left of their cities. Never.

Lootng, rape, pillaging, murder and mayhem have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with this hurricane.

And for these race pimps to try to use this for political advantage is BENEATH contempt.

And for them to collectively spit in the face of those who are trying to help them is despicable.

Yes, I think you have got the truth of the matter. If the feds had moved in without the permission from Gov. Blancho, the President would have violated the Constitution and federal law. It would be impeachment time; especially if Katrina had fizzeled out or gone elsewhere (as some were expecting to do). I suspect a game of gotcha was in play here.

"Recall the Mayor of NO helicoptered his family out BEFORE the storm hit; so he expected something bad."

THIS I did NOT know! Get A Rope.

Because perception is what drives public opinion and consensus. Without consensus, you ain't got nothing, Jackson!

As for what I expect the executive branch to do, I expect them to have something to show for their work on preparing us with homeland security. In case you weren't paying attention, people were told to go to the Superdome, where there wasn't security and in the time since the hurricane hit, women have been raped in there.

I know it was a local's call, but where's the homeland security plan? That's a legacy of his admin. Whatever he started, it stinks plain and simple.

I am not whining. No government branch can defend their inadequacies inthis situation.

And it's really easy to tell who they are.......

GOOD stuff!

This race issue could be just as dangerous as the hurricane itself. Those who are playing it, are political terrorists.

I'm fixated on the perception because it severly undermines President Bush's authority and ability to get things done. That has a residual impact on the GOP in general.

Smoke coming from downtown N.O. Saw a shot of it on CNBC. Black smoke.

No pope yet, huh? (Sorry, that was terrible!)

But you keep forgetting that the majority of Americans see through the bunk (that you care so much about), and know what's going on here.

Obviously, you're not one of us....

I said he looks bad. I can clearly evaluate how the MSM depicts the president and when it begins taking a toll.

Can you?

Ohio - I think there's a danger in being myopic, as well, however. There's a lot of defensiveness here where there should be some reflection on how we're going to prove to our enemies that we can take it on the chin and protect our republic in a time of crisis.

Again, I refer to the feverish promotion of preparedness for large scale devastation started by Tom Ridge and echoed by others. What, exactly, IS the plan if a WMD goes off?

IS there a plan? It's an EXTREMELY important question to ask, in my humble opinion.
