Liberals have come out to try to pin the chaos in New Orleans on Bush and conservatives. Well the ugly truth is the social conditions are largely a nasty by product of the Raw Deal and The Society of Ingreats ala FDR and LBJ. Also Jesse Jackson was too busy worried about Pat Robertson savaging Hugo Chavez, to step up and tell memebers of the black community to heed authorities warnings about getting out of New Orleans before the storm. The social and political climate down there has historically bred mistrust of authority in the black community and Jesse Jackson failed to use his influence to do anything about it. I think you will find Jackson has sowed more seeds of resentment and division then he has brought people together.
I too would like to recommend this action as well. Since he is an older man and had dried up maybe now just maybe he will be able to absorb the water since he is made of BSheet and he would work as a sponge this would be a perfect mend for the levees or at least he would serve some function. If this doesn't help we haven't lost much from the effort.

My thoughts exactly. The days of treating the black population with kid gloves for fear of being called "racist" are over. The days of Americans demanding that the black community clean their own house have begun.
There is nothing that the MSM can do to coverup or minimize the behavior by black thugs in NO. Millions of Americans are watching this unfold and there is nothing Jackson, Sharpton, etc. can say to justify it. Nobody's buying what they are selling.
