Documentation of Louisiana Officials Blocking Aid to New Orleans

Alright, after seeing the following two links I am beginning to feel differently entirely. I had not seen the following two links until today, audio for ABC and video for CNN (for those of you I pinged, here are the links):

ABC

CNN

I retract my earlier posts regarding waiting to see. Now I have three different experiences saying the same thing. After seeing these in conjunction with the video yesterday of the older lady...I am more convinced now that the order is to disarm law abiding citizens who are safe in their homes, homes that are dry and in good shape, people who are well provisioned and safe and only wanting to defend their homes.

Left-wing venom exceeds Katrina's fury ("Democrats seem increasingly unhinged"...)

National Geograhic Article Eerily Predicts New Orleans Storm Damage Almost a Year Ago.

Breaux: New Orleans must be rebuilt --  "Fine. Gather your constituents of LA and get on with it. Leave the US taxpayers out of it. We're tapped"   One thing is clear: the money should not be placed in the hands of Louisiana pols. In such a tremendous project, there will be huge waste anyway.

I am just now getting off the floor. That was one of the most telling moments we have seen. Unscripted and a real glimpse at how the Welfare State mentality rules the lives of many in this disaster and the country in general.  I am sick of I owe anyone anything. This has turned into a Democratic Free-For-All atmosphere.

Lack of plan hurt Katrina-hit states' response -- Mobile, Alabama was hit by Katrina's stronger East side, yet Mobile's pre-hurricane planning, disaster plan, relief plan, and state/federal cooperation went by the book. Result: no news from Mobile, Alabama (no lootings, no riots, no rotting corpses, you know...what makes news for liberals).

Jack Kelly: No shame. The federal response to Katrina was not as portrayed.

Halted gun sales infuriate customers -- Smaller stores are eagerly filling the void. Spillway Sportsman, near Baton Rouge, sold 172 guns in one three-day period after the hurricane, when normally it might sell 15. One mother came in to buy her first gun after she and her two children, ages 9 and 12, witnessed a slaying on the streets of New Orleans, said Scott Roe, Spillway's owner. ''Her comment was, 'I was a card-carrying, antigun liberal -- not anymore,' " Roe said. ''She said, 'I'm going back home, and I am not going back unarmed.' "
The police used to show up and take a report. In N.O. they show up, kick in your door, disarm you, handcuff you and take you off to a 2.5x6 foot cot. There is no 2cnd, 4th, or 14th Amendment.
Have you called your congressman and senators over what is happening in N.O.? If not you are passively accepting the disarming of fellow Americans. Have you called the NRA-ILA? GOA? etc.

1. That my friend really IS a liberal.
2. That my anger about the Katrina liberals' reactions is coming from the DEMANDS of the Entitlement Segment of our nation to CONTINUE to take care of them from cradle to grave with NO responsibility on their part.
3. That I really don't like to be called a selfish, greedy, uncaring racist by the very people my tax dollars have been supporting.
4. That it is time I bought a gun and learned how to defend myself.

Katrina blows away Bush's lame excuses (Break out the barf bags) -- Keep screaming Hate Filled Left. This sort of crap is pretty much guaranteeing the Democrats will be the minority party for at least a generation. In times of crisis, Americans want solutions, not pompous political grandstanding, finger pointing and self righteous posturing. The Voters see what is going on. Red State America pulls together and goes to work. Blue State America is sitting on its butts, whining and paying the blame game.

Mary Landrieu: School Bus Failure Bush's Fault
"I can't remember when I have heard a more patronizing comment...what black women can't drive?"
They created an evacuation plan that involved school buses, because of all the "helpless, poor black people" (stereotype #1) in New Orleans. But, school buses apparently were deemed demeaning or something by Mayor Nagin after the fact, because they lacked air conditioning and did not have bathrooms. In attempting to further explain away this critical lapse (and effectively digging the hole deeper), Mayor Nagin commits another lapse, in claiming that most of the bus drivers were women, too afraid to drive them (stereotype #2), who had fled the city. Senator Landrieu then compounds the slur, by implying that these drivers are very unreliable under the best of conditions (stereotype #3), effectively slamming both blacks and women, and black women in particular.
