A politically incorrect hurricane

Posted on 09/01/2005 7:22:26 PM PDT by qrayjack

One of the worst natural disasters to ever strike the United States is being portrayed by the deranged left and its two subclasses, the Democratic Party and the mainstream news media, as the fault of president. If you want the full impact of just how sick and warped these people are, just keep rereading the previous sentence, and especially the fifth and sixth words. Hurricane Katrina was a natural disaster, not some insane black helicopter conspiracy perpetrated by George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld in collusion with Haliburton. Do these left-wing lunatics understand the definition of the word “natural?” Evidently not. According to them, the devastation wreaked by this monster cat 5 storm was the direct result of premeditated actions taken by Bush before the fact in order to maximize the damage. If that makes sense to anyone, you need to join Howard Dean, Cindy Sheehan, Sidney Blumenthal, Code Pink, MoveOn and all the rest of that nutty bunch of maniacs. I’ve got a better conspiracy theory for them. Katrina was a very politically incorrect hurricane. Utterly ignoring such vitally crucial issues as diversity and racial equality, Katrina, allied with the Bush administration, unfairly targeted the poor, and blacks. Oh yes dear hearts, Katrina was racist! As I’m sure you astute Freepers have noticed, she didn’t come in off the Atlantic and tear up some rich, white enclave like say, Cape Cod for instance. Oh no dearly beloved, Katrina came roaring in off the Gulf and laid waste to New Orleans and Mississippi whose endemic populace is made up of a disproportionate number poor blacks. Actually there’s a goodly amount of poor white folk too, but let’s not cloud the issue. I would go into more detail about other mitigating circumstances like global warming, the Kyoto protocols and the current price of Egyptian cotton, but if ya’ll aren’t already about to throw up, I am.

There are no looters...

Just 'undocumented consumers'.

And no looting...

Just "purchases with indefinite deferred payment plans"...

Nah... It was Karl Rove's weather machine. This thing was supposed to hit Cuba, but missed - so now it is a woodshed time.

Let's get reparartions from France. They are the jackasses that put a town below sea level just a couple hundred feet from the goddam Gulf of Mexico, right in hurricane alley.

Just out of curiosity, does anybody know of any more sub-sea-level cities in the USA?

Are those cities now taking notes?

Bushitler whipped up the hurricane to destroy Democrats. That's the kind of mentally disordered thinking on the Left these days. Whatever happens, is Bush's fault.

What I'm hearing - from people I trust - is that there's great dissatisfaction with government's emergency response...and that the real suffering is disproportionately falling on the 20% of the city's population - 100,000 people - who are its poorest.

I have no way of assessing the justice, or lack of, of the claim, or of determining what part of government is to be criticized. But I do know there's going to be hell to pay politically, for what is happening - regardless of real fault.

A scapegoat will be found, if necessary.

How about Badwater, CA? (Not too much hurricane action, though).

Um, well, yeah - I guess I should've said "sub-sea-level, hurricane-able cities"…

Saw a handmade bumper sticker on a car tonight that read "Bush is a Category 5 National Disaster". Such a clever Lib in that VW Beetle!

Well, a decision has already been made. The victims are being moved to places where they will be treated right. New Orleans will be plowed under and turned into a bird sanctuary.

I was wondering why Sid B (Hitlery's good buddy)crawled out of the woodwork all of a sudden. With the NY Slimes and some of the other LSM coming out against the Prez (and not where blame should be - on the Mayor of NO and the Gov of LA), it hit me this a.m. In essence, this is almost like another 9/11 (over a much larger area) and Pres Bush became EXTREMELY popular after 9/11 - his ratings were through the roof and stayed there for awhile. IMHO, the DIMS don't want that to happen again, so they're starting earlier to try to tear him down and point fingers. They're hoping he'll lose popularity, therefore, the Pubbies will, too and they can get power back in the election next year.
