Just more proof of how lame the Washington Press Corps and lamestream media really is. They live in their own luxury-gilded reality. Very sad.
I make my living off the evening news
Just give me something-something I can use
People love it when you lose,
They love dirty laundry
Well, I coulda been an actor, but I wound up here
I just have to look good, I dont have to be clear
Come and whisper in my ear
Give us dirty laundry
Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down
Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down
Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down
Kick em when theyre up
Kick em all around
We got the bubble-headed-bleach-blonde who
Comes on at five
She can tell you bout the plane crash with a gleam
In her eye
Its interesting when people die-
Give us dirty laundry
Can we film the operation?
Is the head dead yet?
You know, the boys in the newsroom got a
Running bet
Get the widow on the set!
We need dirty laundry
You dont really need to find out whats going on
You dont really want to know just how far its gone
Just leave well enough alone
Eat your dirty laundry
Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down
Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down
Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down
Kick em when theyre stiff
Kick em all around
Dirty little secrets
Dirty little lies
We got our dirty little fingers in everybodys pie
We love to cut you down to size
We love dirty laundry
We can do the innuendo
We can dance and sing
When its said and done we havent told you a thing
We all know that crap is king
Give us dirty laundry!
Dirty Laundry

I'm wondering when they'll realize that they can be of great assistance to victims and rescuers.
They have probably one of the only working ports of communication with the outside world.
Wouldn't the victims of this disaster be better served by a media who could relay instructions, directions, assistance?
Clinton was smiling pretty broadly after that news conference today. Oh wait, maybe there was a cute teenager in the audience.
I'm worried though. How the hell is Hannity going to hawk his book or promote his next tour in this venue
I have noticed that too. But this isnt the first time. Those guys and guyette TV reporters can report some disaster of a story and continue to smile as if they had just heard a joke or are glad at some other persons misfortune. Yes, it also makes me ill. Their skull and phony exaggerated bleached teeth contain nothing more than a vacuum.
Yeah I saw Shep earlier and he was on the verge of tears showing the corpse of a man who had died while walking to the superdome on the side of I-10. Hes doing a good job trying to bring out the true stories of this event.
Did she really say that?!
Sheppard was fighting back tears this afternoon when talking about the dead guy on the road. Steve Harrigan and the rest on Fox all look pretty sober.
Forget about Shepard Smith, if you don't mind...I've had the TV on pretty much 24/7 watching all of this, and he's either bucking for Larry King's job or some sort of Pulitzer.
He's been a shameless drama queen during all of this.
Leave Sean alone.
I don't normally listen to him because of family obligations but he is organizing trucks to take water down there.
This is the first of these people that I have heard are doing more than reporting.
NBC nightly news made me sick beyond what it normally does. Harry Coniff Jr. talking about being with people who were dying of thirst and hungry. He told them, "I'm only a singer but I'll see what I can do."
Harry, send your tour bus to the nearest Walmart with water (even if it's hundreds of miles away) and get it back to that site. That's doing something, not recanting stories on the evening news.
Concert or not, be proactive....
i was sick that he showed that poor man's body on television. i thought that was over the top. he could have told the story without robbing the poor dead man of his dignity by making a spectacle of him. just not the right thing to do for a story.
"Steve Harrigan and the rest on Fox all look pretty sober."
Yes, I noticed that too, and I appreciated they werent smiling for the camera like on other networks. This has been very gut wrenching for them and convey it to the audience.
I used to work at hospital on the administrative side, and about once a year I would come home and have a good private cry over some death that had no sense. I can feel for Shep and the rest of the FOX staff.
Yes, I heard it with my own two ears. It was during a press conference Tuesday (08/30) afternoon... some reporter asked her about areas thought to be safe that were now being flooded (right after the levees started to go) and that was her response.
Empty headedness. People in front of the camera are picked for how well they PRESENT the news, not on how smart they are.
Sorry you are in a hole where there is no Fox News Channel. May I make a suggestion?
When you check out ask for a feedback note. On it reply that you will not return to their hotel until they run Fox News Channel as well as CNN, etc.
I have done it at Sheraton and another hotel in Nashville -- right across from Vanderbilt. Won't ever go there again!
The enemy within. There are exceptions of course. I am suspicious when they get worked up. I always remember the replays of the Hindenburg Airship disaster 1937 and the radio commentator crying out- "oh the humanity, the humanity....." as the passengers jumped to either death or safety. Well who knows? sounded pretty genuine, but then, it was an instantaneous thing. These people have time to professionally comport themselves.
They know within themselves what their motives are.
I do not trust 'em.
