Thank you for a very profound rant, PD. I love the analogy. "LET BUSH FLY THE PLANE!" Amen.

This is a wonderful rant!

Great rant, Pukin Dog! Why did you waste all that time flying for the Navy when you are so great with words?

Because chicks dig fighter-pilots more than writers.

I read your post as I finished watching President Bush comfort a mother and daughter. I was already sitting with tears running down my face. As I read your epistle I was sobbing.

Thank You for this challenge...

This needs to be posted in the list of links at the top of the FR pages... we must stand firm and offer our prayer to God for this man to continue to have the unending strength he has shown us since that Tuesday morning in late September of that fateful year. I too wish to challenge every single Freeper out there, be it atheist, Jew, Christian, or Muslim, offer your thoughts and prayers for this man, for he truly needs it.

No complaints except one:
"I wonder what it must be like to hold the future of humanity in your hands each and every morning."

First, in a fuller sense, only God holds the future of humanity. In another sense, all of humanity is used by God to determine the future of humanity. The President of the United States only leads the direction of the United States.

Unfortunately, it may often feel like only 52% of the people are following his lead...and sometimes, especially in the DC area, it may feel like he is leading and no one follows.

God uses all of humanity to move us into our future. Often, when a solitary voice is needed, God raises up the right man to lead. Elijah was used to defeat Baalism and return many of the Jews back to Jehovah. He used Paul to prevent the newly formed Christian movement from turning into a Hebrew Law Part 2. He used Abraham Lincoln to unite a torn nation. He used a bulldog named Patton to push back the Nazi tide. He used President Bush and to an extent Juliani to help us recover from the blow of 9/11.

God will always use people, but it isn't just the leader, but those that follow, to determine the destiny of humanity.

Outstanding! It illustrates the basis for the main thing I learned when learning to fly small planes: Never drop the airplane in order to fly the microphone. Indeed, we need to just allow our President to fly the d___ plane.

You forget that God also gives us free will. God does work through men, but not all men. I would not attribute works of a Hitler to just an absence of God's grace.

The President of the United States is also the leader of the free world. All Democracies follow the lead of the U.S. and depend on America for much of the freedoms they enjoy, either through financial or military means. Imagine were the U.S. to abandon NATO. You would see a collapse of Democratic nations begin almost immediately, starting with Taiwan, Korea and others. The actions of the President of the United States truly determine much of the world's future.

Pukin Dog...I wish this could be printed in every newspaper in the U.S. Read by every talking head on the air at least 3 times a day. On Sunday, read from every pulpit. I am printing it out with your permission and sharing it with as many others as I can. Bravo.

Yes, it will get ugly.

The Judge Roberts hearings were going to be ugly anyway. Now, they will be hysterical, as the RATs go into full frontal attack mode.

Once the New Orleans blame game starts, the RATs will make Pelosi, Michael Moore and Cindy Sheehan seem like John Birchers.

The decay in the big cities (a la New Orleans) is matched only by the decay in the RATs as a political party. It is not politics, it is war. Like in war when the troops try to grab the high ground, that is the way it is with the RATs--they are in constant search for the next hill to conquer and take and throw down their logo-marked power stake. Nation be damned! Just grab the power controls!

Some things I agree with President Bush on, some things I don't.

You are right, however, that this is not the time to pile on and try to prove a point.
Let the man do his job and try to get that place cleaned up.
It ain't gonna happen in a day, a week, or probably a month.

One thing I would like to bring to peoples attention.
As the MSM harps on gasoline, oil, etc ad nauseum.......remember, the Port of Southern Lousiana is the worlds 5th largest port in terms of tonnage.
If it shuts down for any great amount of time it's going to have a ripple effect that will make lines for gasoline look like pebble ripples in a hurricane. And it no longer has a city infrastructure to rely on.

Pray folks, Pray.

Awesome, excellent job.

You are absolutely correct about the left wanting President Bush to "put it in the water." They want to put this whole country in the water, and we cannot let that happen.

I don't know how President Bush manages to handle 24/7 attacks from his own countrymen, but he does, and he will persevere.

It's a "chick" song... anyhow, great post, and needed on this forum where I have seen a lot of disparaging of our President's efforts. God Bless you, and God Bless our President.
