His parents didn't force him, as you read it...it was this brave young boy's choice.

You believe he came to his decision independently of his parents? I sure don't.

I believe his parents did not stop him once he made the choice to follow his own beliefs. His father, as he even stated, told him what the results would be...Jail.

How could someone of true faith tell his son "Hey, it's the right thing to do. Christ would do it, sure, and he would be pleased by those actions... but you will get in trouble, so don't do it." Great message to send.

We need more parents to teach their children to stand for good, regardless of what is in their way.

I would certainly hope that this young man got his values from his parents. That's usually the way it works. Where do you kids get their values? From the street? Or worse, from public schools?

If you're asking if he got his values from his parents, which contributed to his actions, of course he did.

As to whether they put him up to this particular action on purpose, I believe if that had been the case, it would have been brought up by the DA or whomever it was and the charges would have been dropped.

You serious? I have a ten year old boy, and he's no robot. Granted, he follows the religious beliefs my wife and I have taught him, but I think most Christian or pro-life ten year olds would not think, "Gee, I'm going in there even if it means getting arrested."

My son said if he were there he'd try to go in and give her water. And I wouldn't have stopped him if we'd been outside the place.

I was standing right there. This wonderful family discussed it at length, and the parents told them to do what their conscience dictated. They did.

I find the whole family to be highly admirable.

I do. He was brought up as a Christian by Christian parents and has the 'mind of Christ.' If he feels God told him to do it, he would do it. Great kid and great parents.
