A REAL woman would be a kitten to be cuddled when life was good and a Mother Cat protecting her children when it wasn't. This woman is a twit.
Well put!

Blanco IS a "real woman." That's part of the problem.Indeed. For better or worse, she is reacting like most women I know would react. In fact, she is reacting like most men I know would react.

Yep. Comparing Blanko's ability to control emotion and think rationally to Giuliani and Barbour should be a warning that a woman president (Hiliary) isn't a good idea.

I think Blanco would make a good Kindergarten teacher's aide. She would crawl under her desk for the fire drill.

Where's Huey Long when they needed him.Probably watching the share the wealth policy in action from beyond. I wonder how my son's in-laws are going to spin this?

Good point about delegation. But it's also about imagination and will. This wench is lacking in every aspect.

If you're gonna go, go all the way. If you're gonna stay, stay in your ground. If you can't run with the big dogs, big dog, Let me walk you out. If you can't lead, let me by you. If you won't follow, get out the way: You're takin' up space.LG - Van Zant ping! :)

yup. Real women are a force to be reckoned with when their children are on the line. And as Governor, that maternal protecting instinct should extend to the entire state. I know my former female Governor (Ella Grasso in CT) would never whine like this 'woman'. She lead through the blizzard of 78, obviously not quite on this scale, but a bad crisis in any event.
Blanco seems like a little girl waiting for mommy or daddy to come save her.

In fact, she is reacting like most men I know would react. That's how most "men" in Seattle acted during the Mardi Gras riots.

The media can camouflage it, and to an extent they are, but everyone knows that the Louisiana leadership crapped out at gut check time.

"She's obviously affected tremendously by the emotional impact of the devastation," former Sen. John Breaux told the Washington Post. "I think she's doing everything humanly possible to bring it together." Asked whether Blanco sounded discouraged by the havoc wrought by Katrina, Breaux told the paper: "No, I think she was on top of it. But considering the circumstances, with a whole city underwater, it's hard to be calm, cool and collected." Certainly NOT what the NYTimes and others are saying about President Bush when he spoke the other day. But then, this is ALL his fault.
