An angry Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco told reporters: "We will do what it takes to bring law and order to our area." "I'm just furious. It's intolerable," she said.
Uh, these are the people who put you in office, Miss Babineaux.

New Orleans mayor Roy Nagin is in Baton Rouge, not New Orleans. Meanwhile, thousands of the people who voted for him are thirsty, hungry, wet and in some cases dying in his flooded city.
Shameful.

she's on top of it Right, on top of the desk screaming at the top of her lungs, I want my mommie! This is the type LEADERSHIP you get when you put a whining, indecisive, socialist democrat in charge. Nice going Louisiana. You selected her, now live with her total, inept, inability, to cope with this crisis.

Gov. Blanco did little to reassure observers during a press conference on Tuesday, when she seemed on the verge of bursting into tears. "The magnitude of the situation is untenable," she told reporters. "It's just heartbreaking." Suck it up Buttercup, people are dying out there.

Just a couple of my favorites from days gone by.

Either put rifles on the ground or shut your pie hole and let someone else do it.
The people left can either come quietly out of the city or be shot as a looter. Hand-wringing platitudes aren't helping anyone right now.
To: InvisibleChurch
Did you see that idiotic little school girl, Mary Landrieu, next to Blanco at the press conference? She looked like that she was going to burst into tears and have a breakdown.
Why does it surprise anyone that these liberals are "overwhelmed" and appear defeated? That's why they are liberals - life sucks for them ALL OF THE TIME.
You think Governor Ahnold from California wouldn't have taken charge???

You reap what you sow. They voted her in for more handouts, not leadership.
Looks like this might take awhile.

She's supposed to be a leader but she isn't behaving as one.
As a factory foreman I often found myself overwhelmed but I only had two choices. I could sit around and whine as I failed or I could stand and lead. I chose to lead and I suggest that the governor makes her choice soon.

And we could've had one had Jindal won... But really, we should've recognized the realityies on the ground and ran a good old boy like Mike Foster and we'd still have that Governorship. It's yet another case of the GOP machine being staggeringly inept.

Don't be too hard on her. She's doing a spectacular job of sighing heavily, looking "concerned" and frowning on "Larry King Live".

Where's your GRIT Kathy this is no time to break down ??? Maybe you should give Rudy a call he'd know what to do !!!

I'd be happy if she'd just shut up, sit down, and let the folks who know what they're doing do what needs doing. That goes for Nagin and Landrieu, too.
