I was watching Fox last night and they zoomed in from Helicopter on a $5.19/regular at a BP.
It's not suprising. That part of the country gets oil directly from the affected area.
Same with a pipeline that runs from Houston to New York Harbor. NYC metro area gonna take it in the shorts here very soon. Highest I saw on my commute in today was $3.19. Lowest, $2.75 and there were 6 deep waiting on each pump.

No, I have read several reports of $5 to $6 a gallon gas in Ga and SC. This keeps up welcome the recession.

I'll tell you one thing.
If premium is actually priced $.20 higher than regular at $2.50, should it still be $.20 cents higher than regular at $4.79?
It should be at least $.40 more, unless of course the price is absolutely arbitrary and tied to NOTHING real.

The address of this station needs to be reported to the state attorney general's office...
Surprisingly, the libertarian crowd has it's flamethrowers out in support of these gougers - something to do with "free market", "go someplace else if you don't like it"...
That kind of thinking is pretty freaky, just like the candidates they put up.

I'm so glad I live in a city that's too lazy to panic. $2.88 at a Circle K on the way to work (Circle K being renowned for their high gas prices). In Tucson panic is something you put off until mañana.

Wow! Where was that in ATL?? I live here and saw $4 tops yesterday. My local station was "only" $2.79, far less than anyone else around them. I personally thanked them for not gouging and said they would continue to have my business.
