Hopefully they will think twice about parking in front of a hydrant again. There are laws, ya know. LOL!!

There is a reason parking in front of fire hydransts is illegal!!

That's a great pic. My bro is LACoFD and has shown me that before. The reason the hose cannot go AROUND the car is that it has to be as straight as possible so that, when they open the valve and the water pressurizes it, it doesn't snap out straight all of a sudden and really whack somebody. Also, under pressure, the hose does not tolerate all the bending required to snake all the way around a parked car; that puts undue strain on the hose and could promote premature failure.

I love kitties. I think the next up would be a lizard or a snake . . . something in the reptile department. I actually did the mouse-pet thing once, I bought three feeder mice and they all died of huge cancerous tumors. Makes you wonder about lab mice. Maybe ALL mice die of cancer if they aren't eaten first.

Don't know. I didn't know they had any resorts in North Korea. I'll bet they are using that term loosely. Most people expect electricity and running water at a "resort". Very touching reunion though. Makes you wonder why the two Koreas split in the first place. Politics drives me nuts.
