Hey, DL, check out what's going on in Texas.
We picked up some babies from NO. They are the sick and premature. They did well with the transfer and are resting quietly in the Medical Center. They are without parents right now so we will just have to be parents to them!
Grammie and Tee - next time you're doing prayer pings, we have a lot of geographic orphans who need prayers, and surrogate Moms as well...

I'm hoping some of that rain made it to Oklahoma. Late summer rains are always a Godsend . . . as long as the farmers can get their crops in before they mildew.

The rest of the day was kinda not so great..
My SIL is in the hospital again for her MS..

That's a new one for sure!

Hey, how are you today? Yes, we have babies with no parents. Much prayer needed. For now they will have us. We have great programs here! We have ladies and even a Grandfather that come in and interact with the babies. When they are stable they get rocked, touched, and spoiled by our "rockers". The Child Life people will match them up later when they are well enough. I just wish we could get everyone else. The hospitals there have no water for cleaning and the laundry is depleted. It is desperate. We need to pray for the caregivers that are doing all they can that are in the NO hospitals. I think all are going to be horrified when they see what has happened.

Excellent! I'm really glad that you and Ms.Pooh were able to enjoy lunch together. Sending prayers for your SIL and that Mr B's constituent gets a clue.

Pooh and I were watching some silly crows during lunch..
One of them had an empty French Fry carton and was trucking around the lawn with it in his beak..
Two more crows were chasing him around and trying to take it away from him..
It was comical!

I'm fine...as fine as a guy can be at w***! In a way, I envy y'all. Some of my most memorable moments have been while holding and rocking my granddaughter...or my sons!
I probably need to go do something constructive here...thanks for sharing with us what you're doing.

Anchorage Alaska. It's 3 1/2 hours in flight between Seattle and here. How long will it take you to get to Seattle? I'll meet you at the airport. LOL!

I honestly believe that after all is said and done, even the Gulf Coast will be better for this disaster, but much like the ongoing war on terrorism, some have paid the ultimate price for others to reap the benefits. That's the way of the world, isn't it? Moreover, that's God's way. Thanks for reminding me, I haven't thanked God recently for His sacrifice.
