Yeah, I'm sure there were hundreds of empty pickups driving out of the projects that would have gladly given rides (to where?) to folks in wheel chairs, with new babies, oxygen tanks, and the elderly.
Remember the mantra: Texas, Dome, everything's OK. And DON'T DRINK THE WATER.
Let me ask you something. How about the PLAN of the project dwellers? Do they not have some responsibility to save themselves? Or do they just sit and wait for someone, somewhere to come and save them? At what point do people decide they need to make their own plan for survival? I'm talking about walking out if necessary. Pushing the elderly in a wagon, if necessary. These are people who have NEVER had a plan. They didn't need one. There was always someone who would do it for them. Until now. Refugees?? I don't think so.
