But there wasn't a natural disaster combined with it at the time. We were there at the time and it was pretty tenuous in the area. And not just in Watts but through out the region. Scary.

I was in Woodland Hills at the time. My grandmother lived in Inglewood she had some tenants make her get in the house for her protection (she was white).

As they began heading toward the valley I took my son (he was about a year old then) up to Oxnard.

I was amazed at how people could act like such beast. I never thought people could behave in such a way!

Where were you when it hit (the riots)
