With "God's help" is an interesting choice of words, considering that the largest oil refinery in the United States is in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, just 60 miles north of New Orleans.

It would make a tempting target to anyone who wanted to exponentially exacerbate the current Katrina impact on our gas supply and our economy.

How about the hundred of thousands of Muslims in Indonesia killed last year by the Tsunami and we ended up saving millions of them and sending them billions of dollars? How about the ten of thousands of Iranian killed in an earth quake two years ago?

We need to wake up and realize that these Islamists can win. (Though the bible says they don't :p) All they have to do is bring about a global economic depression by disrupting the oil markets. Look for large scale attacks on the oil infrastructure in the next few weeks. Once they do that they will demand that countries that want oil from them to stop supporting Israel.

Not entirely accurate. They don't have the gasoline, they have the OIL. We still have to refine it and that is a much larger issue as we no longer have the capacity. Thank the environmentalists for having no new refineries (or nuclear reactors) built in the last 30 years. The BRAC closure recommendations could convert some military bases into refineries. That would solve two problems...create thousands of jobs in the building and running the refineries and increase desparately needed refinery capacity.
