That is stupid, they should demand prime time coverage at say 9:00PM. Few are back from work and in front of the TV until at least 8:00PM. No, this give the LSM time to "edit" the remarks before running the "highlights" on the 6:30pm news and the 11pm news.

Rush just played a clip of the EPA head temporarily rescinding the stupid fuel regulations that require all those different formulations. That might help get more gas into the market.
Only temporary tho.

Many stations are running out, and lines are growing extremely long. Some of the surrounding towns are complete out. We need to build refineries ASAP.
And if everybody panics, runs out and fills up their car, we'll have gas lines everywhere.
Not the thing to do, folks.
Use the brain.

The President has already authorized the use of the One blend for all 50 states. Sec. Of Energy announced that about an hour ago.

Im not whining, just stating the facts. Gas in Columbia, SC (the cheapest in the nation) went from an avreage of 2.60 this morning to 2.99 at lunch. We bought gas for 2.83 at a station this morning because most others were at 2.99. Coming back this afternoon the price was up to 3.35 at the same station and most others.

Don't have a good feeling about his speech? What he's going to tell us? What kind of not good feeling?

I wonder if they're 'working on a plan' yet to deal with the bodies? Other than just shoving them aside, that is.
The Dems have proposed a new approach...

If you mean the Superdome...I think they'd need more than a mop and a bucket. :)

That the destruction is unprecedented. That the number of deaths is overwhelming. That the situation is dire. That we need assistance to prevent more deaths and suffering.
To: DouglasKC
Holy crap.
I better head to the gas station today....am low enough I can justify filling up.

They're getting to the dead asap.
This is not an easy task at all.
Already have collected many and
are in funeral homes. Waiting
to be identified by relatives.
(This too will take time.)
It's just not easy or simple
to get from point A to B.

The president has me guessing and that's not good. His leadership skills in so many critical areas of concern for this country go begging. We have protected the hell out of the rights of Iraqis and shed blood for the defense of their country. When it comes to our defense from invasions from the south he's asleep at the wheel. For six years he's taken the invaders side using the invaders arguments for invading. When we have the greatest human disaster that this country has experienced, totally destroying a major city in the USA, he's got to stay at the ranch for a last round of horse shoes. WE'VE got to shake up this man and make him lead, and in the right direction, pray God.

You shouldn't, this is very serious. My mom has been in the oil industry for 25yrs. She says it's going to get really bad. Refineries, platforms, ports, tankers, and all other support was destroyed. =( $4.00 gas won't be unexpected. It won't be the oil companies gouging people, it'll be the law of supply and demand.
