Astonishing Exclusive From Mississippi [hundreds if not thousands dead]
Paramedic Rescue Operation | 8-31-05 | My Favorite Headache

Posted on 08/30/2005 10:10:45 PM PDT by My Favorite Headache

It is with heavy heart I write this...

I have finally reconnected with my best friend who is a paramedic who was sent from Georgia 2 days ago to Gulf Port, Mississippi before the hurricane hit.

He just reached me within the last 10 mins via emergency cell phone to tell me he was alive.

Thousands of bodies have been discovered throughout Mississippi in Gulf Port, Waveland,Hancock County,Bay of St.Louis.

They are hanging in trees and they are pulling them out 30 at a time. Entire families found drowned in their homes and washing up on shore.

The stories he could tell me were brief. National Guard is on the scene and arresting anyone seen on the streets.

The numbers are staggering and what I have been told tonight will shake people to their foundation as the numbers will be coming out in the next 24-hours of just how many people have actually perished in these and 3 other beach communities.

More to follow....

I heard that people were jumping out of the Twin Towers from...the MSM, including CNN, MSNBC , etc. These stations reported the jumpings, but were reluctant to show the video.

Let's not turn FR in and right-wing version of the conspiracy thoerists at DU.

IMHO, it's best to evaluate media individually, rather than downgrade all "MSM" outlets. One great newspaper is the New Orleans Times-Picayune, whose blog updates are more informative than the crap on this thread: http://www.nola.com/newslogs/breakingtp/

I wonder if they can helo in shipping containers and sink them open end up and dump in sand to hold them down using a concrete bucket or some such. They might be able to seal the breach that way.

"Sudden turn? It was a microscopic wobble. The storm ended up taking a track within a few miles of the NHC forecast tracks from 60 hours previous to landfall."

Most of the destructive power of a hurricane is focused in the northeast quadrant, so a small turn to the east would be turning into the area that would already be the focus of the worst of the storm. The difference for those in Gulfport and that area would be negligible.

The difference for those to the west side of the path...the people who escaped the northeast quadrant because of the small turn, would be huge.

I'm sure that whoever the on-duty moderator was at the time this thread got going had to take many things into consideration. Ultimately, the credibility of FR is either enhanced or hurt. I hope it's not a situation where someone here was duped.

On the plus side - here we get to be our own news filters.

MFH has been a reliable poster since '99. I don't think he'd make something like this up.

I see this is the thread for the Hell Fire and Damnation Crew, huh?

It was only a matter of time. And it will get worse before it gets better.

So how are you holding up dear?

Rick Leventhal on Fox just reported that the streets of Biloxi are littered with bodies.

Fox news reporter just said they haven't gotten into certain areas yet, in Mississippi. That it could be worse than numbers than stated. I just pray it's not what poster says. I guess we won't know for certain until later.

I love the ocean, the salt air, the ever present sound of waves breaking. It is a risk I would take, I love the ocean air that much.

Me too.

But make mine on a high cliff--and one safe from erosion.

Salt air's tough on the house and furniture, though.

Meanwhile he's successfully sent a large chunk of FR into a tizzy.

Probably his purpose.

My first thought when reading about these thousands of bodies hanging in the trees and being removed in groups of 30 was how bizarre and unlikely this was. Death on this scale would have the MSM swarming the area in copters and planes to bring us all the grizzly footage. And given the numbers of rescuers required and the communications and logistics involved in such efforts, there is no way it could be kept silent.

Thousands of people hanging from trees? I think it would be more believable if the claim was that all the victims were blacks living in a Red state and were lynched by the local KKK who were merely following Cheney's Secret Orders.

"The MSM didn't inform us that people were jumping out of the twin towers either..."

The AP radio mews was...our sister station was carrying it. I knew about it.

"One of the unique things about FR is that we 'often' get first hand accounts of news in the making...Before it get to the MSM..."

I know I've broken stuff on here before. The last time was beating the MSM to the announcement that the Court House shooter in Atlanta had surrendered.

But I make my "announcements" after I have absolute proof of what I'm about to say.

"Almost all of the footage shown on tv right now is from cameras in helicoptors...I doubt the MSM wants to show the public pictures of thousands of dead Americans...In fact, they haven't shown even one dead body floating in the water... "

So the same MSm that has no problem showing dead soldier being drug throught the streets of Somalis...that broadcasts video of civilians being mowed down in Iraq is going to suddenly find morals and hise this?

Please.

"The MSM warned the people of New Orleans...I didn't hear much warning for Mississippi..."

I have the advantage of being 14 hours ahead of the states right now. That means when you guys are asleep it's day time here...while you were sleeping...the media WAS reporting warning for Missippi AND Alabama telling people that state officials were telling people to get out now.

I'll trust hearsay from My Favorite Headache, more than a linked story from you, pal.

Mind your manners and just watch whom you are accusing of "prank posts".

Old reports...I've been hearing that all day. I also already knew about the 30 people in the apartment complex.

They've been reporting it all night.

But it is still not what MFH is describing.
