It is with heavy heart I write this...
I have finally reconnected with my best friend who is a paramedic who was sent from Georgia 2 days ago to Gulf Port, Mississippi before the hurricane hit.
He just reached me within the last 10 mins via emergency cell phone to tell me he was alive.
Thousands of bodies have been discovered throughout Mississippi in Gulf Port, Waveland,Hancock County,Bay of St.Louis.
They are hanging in trees and they are pulling them out 30 at a time. Entire families found drowned in their homes and washing up on shore.
The stories he could tell me were brief. National Guard is on the scene and arresting anyone seen on the streets.
The numbers are staggering and what I have been told tonight will shake people to their foundation as the numbers will be coming out in the next 24-hours of just how many people have actually perished in these and 3 other beach communities.
More to follow....
Thanks I"ll get right on it
I'll tell you what...while the numbers are hard to believe, there are two parishes (the ones to the south and east of NO) that have been wiped completely off the map.
EXCEEDINGLY WELL PUT.
Thanks for the comment and the link.
thanks, Miss Behave. And thanks, again, MFH, for your providing us with information....who knows but it may have been just what someone needed to see to do something to help, even one day sooner.
The Holy Spirit gave me Romans 8 to read yesterday!
"Based on what data, I wonder."

OH, pray to God, THAT is NOT TRUE>.....
MFH's report was a little dramatic but we must consider the circumstances. If it is exagerrated, we will consider the circumstances. It hardly makes us all look like kooks for someone to repeat testimony relayed by a friend who is there, and for us to then discuss the reasons why it could be true, but unreported by MSM.
I can see why a guy like Hewitt wouldn't want to do it-he's trying to cultivate a credible reputation, promote evangelicals, help Newsmax get McCain elected, and sell books.
Hugh called MFH a fear monger who was posting junk without any sources, said MFH was contributing to the worry and fear that families have for their loved ones.
That is hardly fair, considering MFH has a source, and did not make claims that were "junk" at all.
We all have our own response to life, including disaster, tragedy.
It appears that your perspective is that of the liberal Marxist left which wants to remove every shred of Spirituality from the public square and public discussion.
You are welcome to skip all my posts. You are welcome to pretend I don't exist.
You insist on assaulting me with your world view and your perspective in every one of your posts. I choose to take no offense unnecessarily. You have a right hereon to post from your world view and your perspectives. You could hardly do otherwise--at least consistently and totally.
I find it very interesting that my particularly perspective is soooooo uncomfortable to you that you immediately choose a hostile, intolerant, fierce, insulting, assaultive response virtually every response. There is the possibility that my perspective is not the problem but your response to it is, instead.
There are other alternatives.
They appoint themselves "keepers of the ultimate truth", then get pist off if someone challenges them.
The inane "prove it" mindless morons.
Sort of carbon copies of that "Jabba the Hutt" clown in San Francisco, Bernie Ward.
Goodness! I wouldn't want anyone to stand in awe of me about anything unless it was what God has done in my life; His Grace, Mercy and Love to me.
You obviously think I can't chew gum and walk straight or wipe myself well. You are welcome to ignore my posts!
Could it get any worse? Fox just said armed bands of looters are wandering downtown NO.
Nice to know you're still alive and kicking.
I also note you're in traditional form.
CNN and FOX are both reporting the dead number in the thousands in New Orleans alone. I fear the total for the Gulf Coast may well be in the tens of thousands.
I cant really grasp it.
"Maybe...thats their way of letting it be known they are dealing only with the hard facts they know to be true and will not take any wild guesses that cause panic in the people like some are doing on here."
Note that the MSM is now quoting 'off-record' fema and rescue people as describing the biloxi back bay/ocean springs recovery ops as no longer rescue, but rather 'bag and tag.'
You might also take note of the NO Mayors public comments on casualties into the thousands.
Did you ever post your own estimates from this morning? I believe that in retrospect, the poster who started this thread is going to have presented a substantially accurate picture of mass casualties from this storm. What do you think?
I just cannnot wrap my mind around that number, Match.
It appears that you have no clue about me; about my perspective; feelings, thoughts, attitude; nor about what God has done in my life.
That saddens me but doesn't overwhelm me.
I love the Scriptures you posted and you made some good points about them which I thoroughly agree with.
Certainly I am not at all righteous except through, in and via Jesus' Precious Blood.
Certainly in my own works and any things else one might appeal to, I'm nothing better than a used Kotex as Scripture says.
Thankfully, Jesus isn't leaving me in that state.
You sound like you'd like to.
No.
And I still haven't seen it.
Well put.
I have tons and tons of respect for any FREEPER who has any known person connection with anyone on the scene of any significant event and merely posts what's related for acceptance or rejection at face value.
Certainly confirmation is important. But WE do NOT need to shoot the messenger--especially a fellow FREEPER. Sheesh!
