Liberal Democracy vs. Transnational Progressivism: The Future of the Ideological Civil War Within the West.
The Key Concepts of Transnational Progressivism
- The ascribed group over the individual citizen -A person's unique capabilities and outlook have less importance than his membership in the ascriptive groups (racial, ethnic or gender) into which he is born.
- A dichotomy of groups: -Oppressor groups vs. Victim groups, with immigrant groups designated as victims The world divides into good and bad groups, with nonwhites, women, immigrants and homosexuals by their very nature in the former category.
- Group proportionalism as the goal of "fairness" -"Victim" groups should be represented in all facets of life (executives, prisoners) proportionate to their percentage of the population.
- The values of all dominant institutions must be changed to reflect the perspectives of the victim groups- Institutions must shed the outlook of the "oppressor" culture and adopt that of the nonwhite, female, immigrant and homosexual victims.
- The Demographic Imperative - Democracy ceases to mean majority rule and becomes a matter of dividing the spoils among those ascriptive groups.
- Deconstruction of National Narratives and National Symbols -Traditional notions of history "privilege" the oppressors and must be discarded. In the American case, for example, the conventional emphasis on European settlers is jettisoned in favor of a multicultural "convergence" of three civilizations - Amerindian, West African and European.
- Promotion of the concept of Post-National Citizenship. - Instead of giving ultimate allegiance (defined as who you would die for) to the state, a vague loyalty goes to some form of global membership.
- The Idea of Transnationalism as a major conceptual tool. States should cede their powers to higher bodies, such as the European Union or the United Nations. In this spirit, Israel's Foreign Minister Shimon Peres has called for a de-emphasis on sovereignty in his region and argued for a Middle Eastern version of the European Union.
- Immigrant rights prevail: Immigrants should be able to relocate freely, impose their cultures on and offer only ambiguous loyalty to their new countries of residence. Long-established peoples in a region should accept "multiculturalism" with a smile.

If I could draw cartoons, I'd draw Richardson and Napolitano chasing an illegal that is waving a flag with dollar signs on it. They aren't doing anything but chasing money with their emergency declarations.

Look, we all agree that illegal immigrants are bad, very bad. In fact, I am not too crazy about many of the legal immigrants who are allowed to bring their families into this country. That said, why is so hard to get our government to stop it?

" Peres has called for a de-emphasis on sovereignty in his region and argued for a Middle Eastern version of the European Union."
Peres has an excuse for being such an ass - he is a Jew and many of my co-religionists are socialism impaired.
But Peres would be well advised to remember the joke about four wolves and a sheep voting on dinner before he gets his wish for a Middle East super sized government.
What of Israel's bad experiences at the hands of the UN can this pitiful "oven Jew" not remember?
Why do such people continue to keep going back to socialism like a horse to a burning barn?

Did a hurricane hit either of these states?
Go away, Bill Richardson and Janet Napolitano. Come back when you have a REAL crisis on your hands. Bush is pretty busy elsewhere.
Debating whether or not he should meet personally with Cindy Sheehan (again).
Or maybe to put a little more pressure on Aruba to come up with the persons who had something to do with the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.
How about the price of gasoline at the pump? And here you people go worrying about a little thing like having to close hospitals and beef up local law enforcement, all just becaus of a few illegal aliens.
Get a little perspective on things. Do you think President Bush gets up in the morning and says, "Hmmm, who can I screw over today?"

With my quick read of this, there is nothing I could add to Phyllis Schlafly's view of this, other than our "elected officials", both dem and pub, long for the NWO.
Goodbye USA...Welcome Americana.

The Republicans are letting the Dimmycraps get to their right on this issue. Not good policy or good politics.
