Well 100,000 maybe a bit overkill but there is real concern now because all infrastructure in those coastal areas are wiped away.
Now secondary effects come into play. People who need oxygen to survive, are going to die unless they can get somewhere to get fresh tanks. Ditto Diabetics needing insulin, Kidney dialysis, heart patients being overtaxed. Elderly frail people dying from dehydration same for very young children.
Also people trapped in the wreckage that are injured and can't get out and dying of exposure. Folks drowning trying to swim to safety. Folks dying in wreckage colapses, folks dying from animal attacks like snakes and gators.
This can get real ugly fast now.
The just popped into the FEMA directors speech on Fox and verified it was prisoners...
Ahh, a voice of reason and perspective. Make me a bit uneasy regarding the future though, LOL!
What's new about that? He's been saying that for the past day or so. Just stating the obvious.
I want them to tell us what it means if river and lake levels have equalized in the uptown areas.
FEMA talking about lootings. It won't be tolerated.
If Shep showed up on TV doing rescue work, people would complain he was only doing it as a publicity stunt. There is no pleasing some people.
Last Christmas, when TArget stopped letting Salvation Army in front of their stores...
I made a point of going to stores with Salvation Army and giving more than usual...and I never saw one person not have a smile on his/her face.
I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, so:

"Police officers were asking residents to give up any guns they had before they boarded buses and trucks because police desperately needed the firepower: Some officers who had been stranded on the roof of a motel said they were being shot at overnight."
That is my point cedar, they say the words but no actions to make it happen.
Gibson(?) couldn't recognize thety were cons? Duh! All the orange tipped me off immediately. They have been sitting there for about a day.
This PROVES that you should keep at least one weapon around for protection, AND KNOW HOW TO USE IT!
2 to the center of mass is an effective looter deterent...
It won't take long for these diseases to break out. Anyone alive must be removed as quickly as possible.
If cholera does break out, authorities will have no choice but to burn all the dead. The risk of these bodies being moved and spreading disease is simply too great.
I heard Tom was headed down there with a vital supply of 'Dianetics" paperbacks to give to all the survivors.
What the hell is wrong with you? How do you KNOW he wasn't dying?
Dehydration is lethal. All your organs shut down or are damaged.
You're an idiot.
Yes Just ask Terry Shiavo
THere's one of the 20 or so missing/sunk/damaged iol rigs just off Daulfin Island.
We need a new thread. BIGTIME
I hear you!
