I would guess most of those bodybags may be for rural areas that were unprepared.

Jim and JohnRob have this site set up so that threads don't max out until 65,000 posts (+/-).

Contrary to popular belief among those not around when the new formatting was put into place,
your machine is only caching as much info on each reload as your preferences tell it to, or 100 posts per page, whichever is less.

That's why folks are asked to keep graphics under 50k most times, as anything larger tends to make any page they're on slower for dialup users.

IOW, you are not reloading all 6,000 whatever posts from this thread when you refresh the page - only the 20 or 50 or 100 posts of the page you're currently viewing.
