Robertson's Operation Blessing helping Katrina victims
Operation Blessing ^

Posted on 08/30/2005 11:02:19 AM PDT by fredhead

Massive Hurricane Katrina roared ashore yesterday with destructive fury. Winds topping 140 mph and torrential rainfall inflicted widespread damage and flooding along the U.S. Gulf Coast. At least 50 people are reported dead.

With urgent needs continuing to emerge, Operation Blessing's disaster relief team is readying a large-scale response throughout the affected areas. Six of Operation Blessing’s tractor trailer trucks have been dispatched to pick up food, cleaning kits and relief supplies for delivery to those impacted by the storm.

As damage assessment continues, OBI is working with local churches and other nonprofits to determine strategic and effective ways to bring aid to those struggling to cope in the aftermath of the brutal hurricane.

Along with its partners at The Salvation Army and Southern Baptist disaster relief, Operation Blessing anticipates helping provide up to 310,000 meals a day to residents throughout Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.

With all of the negative coverage of Pat putting his foot in his mouth (haven't we all) I thought it would be good to see the good his organization is doing.

Operation Blessing is squeaky clean.
Check it out on any charity watch website.

"With all of the negative coverage of Pat putting his foot in his mouth (haven't we all) I thought it would be good to see the good his organization is doing."

Pat Robertson and his org won't get an iota of credit or kind words from the MSM or certain Freepers.

Afterall, he's just one of those "Christian right-wing wackos," who embarrassed President Bush.

The MSM will NOT mention Pat's organization in any good way.

I remember when his trucks came to Freeport, L.I.

The local paper (I think Newsday) showed an entire halfpage article, on page 3, with trucks from "a food charity" pulled up, and had an article about the grateful people. Not once was Pat mentioned. Not once was Operation Blessing mentioned. It was just "a charity".

The pictures was carefully posed so as never to show the side of the trucks, where the name was. It was very , very obvious the MSM would NOT give credit to OB.

It was my first experience with blatant media bias against Christian evangelicals.

Operation Blessing is squeaky clean.

Except when Pat's using its airplanes to shuffle his mining equipment around in a deal with a murderous dictator. Aside from that OB does do a lot of good, but I'd still rather give my money to the Red Cross.

Pat Robertson has done more good for America and the American people then all his trashbashing detractors combined.

Btw, his remark last week about US Special Forces accommodating H.Chavez, was right on target.

Has Pat Robertson blamed Katrina yet on the homosexuality of Mississippians?

God bless Operation Blessing.

They have done far more to help the needy than all of Robertson's idiotic critics combined will ever do.

An organization that big needs to be able to pay someone capable of running it. Operating Blessing has a low-overhead advantage in that it's part of Robertson's empire.
