lengthy story on the turnout. 'They (Sheehan and Sharpton) were unable to drown out anti-Sheehan sentiments'
They (anti-war groups) NEED to know that . Not only to they need to see it, but our troops need to see it, the insurgents need to see it, and most important of all, Al Queda needs to see it. Here's hoping for a huge turn out in DC. I can't go, but will be donating.
Well, the pictures of our guys were a riot of color from the bikers with their shiny chariots all painted with eagles and their do-rags to the 25 ft. flag sewn by the children of military personnel to the red white and blue of Old Glory AND the Union Jack...it was the 4th of July for our side. It must have pi$$ed them right off. One account on a blog and I don't remember which one, it might have been here even, said that as the fellow was driving in to Crawford he saw the Sherriff and remarked on the number of people there on a weekday. The Sherriff didn't smile to give him credit but said something like..."If they had real jobs they wouldn't be here!" Too true!
No there was no mistaking the VITALITY on our side. On one day only we arrived and CHANGED THE LANDSCAPE. We don't have to live there for a week to make the point. Showing up was enough. Unfortunately, the devil spares no weapons and threw Katrina into the mix so the MSM couldn't feature us but even so...we got coverage and yesterday's report by Ed Lavendera of CNN where he said that what the Crawford Texas residents thought of Cindy could be put on the back end of a horse was hilarious! After that they 'jumped the shark' with that wedding nonsense. None of the MSM have reported that part. Lord only knows what they're resorting to tomorrow because GWB wasn't even in Texas today. What's their point and they look really self-centered insisting on their point of view and say when thousands are suffering from the hurricane. They should have packed it up immediately and volunteered in evac centres.
I agree with you. Maybe it is just a bad Monday but I thought that Byron York took the easy way out. It sounded like he was cutting the MoveAmericaForward group down. He also made it sound like Cindy's little vigil was something she thought of all by herself. He neglected to mention that Cindy is on the speaker's bureau of United for Peace and Justice...
But hey - it's Monday and I had to teach some new hires how to use the computer system at work today...
I am sure he did. And I am sure that that is correct.
However I still think the interview was spin. But that's why there are different flavors of ice cream. Oops, sorry.
Here's a little background on the American Gold Star Mothers and what they stand for...

Thank you Indy. I was just thinking about a retired Marine group here and wondering if they would like to go to D.C. All I need is someone to drive for me on the Beltway LOL.
Oh, the D.C. Chapter is already on this. My worry is getting other groups to help them out.
I'd luv to see someone drop the dime on her with the IRS about those taxes she refuses to pay. They probably don't know about it and won't unless they decide to do an audit. Once anyone takes a look at her file the missing years will show up immediately and that's not going to look good in print. Didn't Al Capone go to jail for not paying his taxes?
Isn't it amazing how one's soul shows on their face. Evil either shows on a face or covers it's face in an attempt to hide.
Of course her "team" is monitoring this site and erasing things as fast as they can. The facts about her and them are their death knell and they know it!
Hey! You are already smart enough to be a citizen as far as I'm concerned. Smarter than any liberal I've seen. Welcome to Free Republic, the greatest family of patriots on earth.
I won't be able to make it. I tried to get to Crawford, if only the rally was on Sunday. My daughter had to be at the airport for a 10 am flight on Saturday. No way would I make it by 1 pm from WI to TX. Now, I won't be able to make the DC trip due to an immediate family wedding. Shoot, I'm missing all the fun this year.
Brit gave a pretty full explanation of Cindy's relationship with some lefty loon that was an organizer for the Seattle demonstrations that were so violent. He didn't go back far enough and show that Cindy has been a party of the looney left for years, however.
As for observations that Greg Kelly looked grumpy on Saturday's report about the Crawford rally, I wonder if the hiring of Bill Hemmer from CNN could have had something to do with Kelly's foul mood.
We've got time to organize this. Look at the turnout for Crawford! And with the DC chapter involved, as usual, it'll be a success. How about you attend my Sister in law's wedding and I'll go freep? I haven't did an old fashioned freep since algore. I've been to plenty of support the troop rallys, but nothing is as rewarding as freeping the libs. Living in WI, we don't get the glammor as the big states.
Nobdy can fault the Rev. for taste in suits (except maybe to ask where he gets the money for the nice clothes), but, I bet it was awful hot walking in the sun :-)
Her Sens. are Boxer and Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi, is the Minority Whip. The Witches of Endore! "Bubble bubble, toil and trouble..."
DUers are sending her money; so are other morons and then, there's the money she got from our government, when Casey died.
It's NOT that she can't afford to pay her taxes, but rather that she refuses to.
I don't know if anything is in the works yet, or not. I have a feeling there will be - so stay tuned. :)
Thank you! Do you know if Boxer was the Senator in 2002? I'm working with a Mac tonight, not my choice, and it's slow. I know that the brainless-spineless-ballless wonder John Kerry voted for the war along with Hillary Vladirmir Lenin. I'd like to see a list. I'm dying to know which eunuchs voted against. If you (or anyone) have a link, I would be most appreciative.
Yes, Boxer was a Senator in '02. I don't know what her vote on going to Iraq was, though I think that she was against it.
