he said it and some other alarming stuff. Go to www.wwltv.com and click on "Mayor update on city" link. its taped from earlier tonight. Slidell is all underwater, NO is 80%, twin span bridge is gone (this had the news anchors in shock), there is alos a barge leaking gasoline (or some other substance) into the mississppii river.

he also said that 3pumping stations are still not working

Either this is a hoax (did CNN call the hospital or did the woman call CNN?) or this is eerily reminiscient of the tsunami.

I saw the earthquake reported on the TV news, and thought it was really odd that nobody seemed to be too concerned. Figured it would be on every channel immediately. Hardly more than a mention. Then I found the FR thread, and the posters were understandably alarmed and wondering the same.

The mood was like it is here now... a sense that something REALLY BAD is happening but flipping channels one gets the impression that "there is nothing to see here just move along".
