how many square miles are how deep with water? and is it still filling with water?

The "Twin Span" over Lake Poncha-whatever is "gone" per FEMA (via WDSU)...

Also a "HUGE" fire is burning somewhere in N.O. area . . .

WDSU is reporting that (per the FEMA director):

1) The bridge between Slidell and New Orleans (the "twin spans") is just *GONE*. It's not there any more.

2) There is a massive fire cutting I-10 off (location not specified).


This would be why nothing's getting in.

I don't know. most of the video on CNN shows people wading in water - so figure 4-5 feet for those areas. then there are other areas where the roofs of 2 story houses are visible, so that's a 15-18 foot depth in those areas.
