Does anyone know the status of the 4300 or 4400 blocks of Canal Street or the Algiers area? Around Aurora Oaks Drive?

Yes, I remember. It was Thanksgiving and that black couple that had worked so hard to get a really nice home was hit and he was killed.

I guess that there are worse places to live. We moved here from So. Calif.

Thanks for the word on Bulloch Co, GA. My daughter is there. Just got her friend on the cell and warned them 10 minutes in advance of the squall line.

Thanks to you and Free Republic, they are forewarned.

Yeah what is going on at the school with the fallen roof? I forget the town but it is in KY. They are dreading this storm about right now. They have had lots of rain.

Confusing the USS Alabama with oil rigs was always a big problem for opposing navies. Many a lookout was lulled into a false sense of security -- "Hmm, what's that? Oh, it's just an oil rig. No need to go to alert."

If I was homeless and hungry after a disaster, I'm sure I'd accept a sandwich and a bed from Michael Jackson if he offered them.

LOL. You are too old. He wouldn't offer them. (I don't know how old you are but obviously not 10!)

I spent 35 years in the media. I wouldn't give the Red Cross a dime... if I found one on the sidewalk.

Look a the record of the Red Cross after 9/11. They took in millions supposedly for 9/11 victims. But the 9/11 victims did not get hardly any money until some media types started getting on their case.

I would rather give money to other organizations that actually help people.. that don't require a media gun to their head before they actually stoop to help people.

The Red Cross, especially the parent organization.. The International Red Cross has become another HATE AMERICA FIRST organization. They put out the crap that we mistreat prisoners in both Cuba and Iraq.

The Red Cross was a good thing back in WWII.. But today I think it is hardly more than a rip off of suckers and a supporter of far leftist causes.
